Absolutely everything was perfect. A little gem! We ordered a braaipack in advance. It contained so much more than expected. In addition to the meat, there was roosterkoek, jam, salad, pumpkin fritters and more. The rooms and beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil we needed and fresh drinkwater was supplied. The Swartberg Mountains around us were breathtaking. We loved our stay. It was booked for a stay-over location close to the Cango Caves but we will be back for a longer stay at some stage to explore the area further.

The location is exceptional and beautiful Breakfast was exceptional, with all fresh ingredients and very friendly and helpful staff. The accomodation is very comfortable.

On arrival we did not have anyone to receive us or a notice at the reception (it was around 6pm - so a bit late I know), a notice on who to contact on the door would be nice.

comfortable accommodation with beautiful views. great place to switch off and relax. location was nice and central, quick drives to Prince Albert, Cango Caves, Oudtshoorn etc. our daughter also loved having the animals on the farm.

there were some issues with the electricity connection when we were there. it just meant we had to contact the staff on occasions, but they always did their best to help us, no matter what the time. an isolated issue so unlikely it would be this way always.

The best views on the Swartberg. Never missed a TV with such a view. The most beautiful sunset. Marietjie, our host, was very helpful and went out of her way to make us comfortable and to organize my dad's 80th birthday celebration.

The firewood was wet.

The cottages were very well set out with lots of space and excellent beds and bedding. The kitchen was well set with most of the basics required. The view is stunning and the garden was pleasant. Phew - easy access - No long drives on dirt roads!

The bathroom was great, but the hot water from the gas geyser was not functioning fully and we had cold showers at times. The fridge was not correctly set and froze the milk salads and most stuff. The drinks were really cold! Woohoo.

Great location, very convenient if you're planning to take some time exploring the magnificent Swartberg Pass. Staff and owner very helpful and friendly. Wonderful place to stop over.

The location is amazing and the food from the kitchen is great. There was no dinner kitchen when I stayed so they gave me meat to cook myself in the room and it was a fantastic experience!

Location was as good as there will be in Oudshoorn. Peaceful, Tranquil with the Karoo air. Friendly staff with great Roosterkoek(the best by far). Well fitted kitchen with great furnishings beyond what is expected and spacious rooms. Well done Swartberg cottages. Well done.
