What a fantastic experience, we were warmly welcomed by staff, signed in and taken on a tour of the facilities and then to our room. The room (luxury) was clean and beautifully decorated with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There is a restaurant onsite with delicious meals and good variety. Good options for breakfast. Do try the picnic basket, this was a wonderful end to our holiday. Staff always available to assist with ideas and all were friendly. There is enough in the area if you want a day away from the pools and views.

The first room we were given was not up to the standard we were expecting. We asked to change but we’re told the hotel was fully booked. They did however move us for our second night and the room was much better. Breakfast here is good with a huge amount of choice. There are two pools at the hotel both of which have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
I felt the hotel was not quire sure what it wants to be in that it caters for too wider style of clientele. Some of the rooms are nice, but others felt like a budget hotel - very tired and in need of updating. When we stayed there were lots of families staying which during the day is fine, but not so relaxing in the evening when couples want a quiet meal. The generator is in the middle of the accommodation blocks so is very noisy.

Wonderfull surroundkings, nice hotel, good breakfast, super helpfull and friendly staff. We recomend the massages by Cheryl who is superb.
Our first dinner there was not so good (waygu steak and ostrage). Steak was not soft, had Better other straks in SA. Better value for money at Nostalgie in town. Shower seemed to.have mould, it has been a wet year so up keep is not that easy.

Lovely beautiful resort. The manager that checked us in was very efficient and professional. Excellent value for money. The restaurant and food was amazing. Best omelette I have ever had for breakfast! The room where comfortable with all modern facilities and the two swimming pools and gardens are beautiful.
Lovely location, clean and well kept gardens and very friendly staff. the room was very comfortable and the food in the restaurant exceptionally good. Great value for money.

From the beginning of our stay, the welcome, the check in and willingness to help was all first class. Great location, excellent facilities. Would very much recommend
Very little, the rooms were very spacious and the lay out could be improved but that is being picky!

The olive farm is beautiful and the staff are super efficient and friendly. The food at restaurant was delicious. We would stay again but ask for a different room. :)
Our room was very noisy, with neighbouring room air conditioning waking us up as they switched on and off, we were also close to river so heard frogs the whole night, and could also hear a baby crying and people at the pool late at night, individually these aren’t so bad but all together it caused a restless night. We also switched off little bar fridge to reduce noise. The toilet in our room didn’t have a door, but I don’t think all rooms are like this.

It is hands down one of the most beautiful establishments I’ve ever stayed at. The grounds, trees, gardens, fountains and buildings are immaculate. The dining area, wine tasting, patio and breakfast/dinner halls are magnificent. The bar and lounges are incredibly classy. All the makings of a world class facility.
It doesn’t take a long time to realise that the staff on site are working at 200-300% of their capacity. All playing multiple roles. And that’s because the huge downfall is that the massive facility and infrastructure is understaffed. It’s a hard reality to face - but shouting at the staff is misdirected. Entry to our room was delayed. But once inside the room - it’s an experience and is incredible. Our food took time, longer than normal, but when arriving was beyond fine dining. Compliments to the chef, the staff and receptionist for keeping up the standards - but it’s cannot go on like this forever. The staff are burning themselves out. And the facility is packed with weddings, full bookings, baby showers, etc.

Room was spacious, bathroom was big with a double vanity. The property is beautiful and there are amazing views from certain parts of it. The olive products are really tasty! Location is excellent on the outskirts of town - peace and quiet! Felt like a safe place. Breakfast was nice.
Some service issues around the property - dirty glasses/empties lying on outdoor tables next to the swimming pools that weren't cleared, dinner service was quite slow on the night we ate there. No rug/mats in the room with laminated flooring and no shelf in our shower (it was broken)

The room: spacious, clean, well equipped. Fluffy white towels. The staff: very friendly, saw to every request. The grounds and restaurant: Beautiful with delicious food. Great value for money. Close to Oudtshoorn for sightseeing. On the road to the Cango Caves.
Please note: this establishment has venues close to the rooms. Check whether they are hosting before booking. A small intimate wedding down at the lake house is still okay, a Church group banging away on their drums a whole weekend in the main hall is a nightmare. Hopefully the venue will be more discerning going forward, but I think it is fair to expect tranquility from a 4star.

Beautiful property in gorgeous setting. Rooms were 4 star but being upstairs was an inconvenience with no elevator and heavy luggage. We did not get responses to our messages and the day of arrival nobody answered the telephone creating anxiety about our booking. When we arrived we were assigned wrong accommodation and we were charged for an extra room. The next morning I showed our original booking and they then credited back the charge.
Lack of communication and not being on top of our booking
