Lovely location, lovely grounds. Lovely staff. Nice steam, sauna and swimming pool. We stayed for two nights cost just over £200. Breakfast included. I think dinner should be included for that price.

My only objection is that this hotel is a per friendly one which means you can bring your dog to stay with you in your room and to the restaurant. I was uncomfortable with this as there was an incident with two dogs during breakfast which made everyone in the restaurant uncomfortable. I think allowing pets should have its limits. To allow a dog to come to a breakfast area, personally for me this policy is completely unacceptable. I think they should review this accordingly.

Nice hotel with very good facilities. All staff were very friendly and helpful and really seemed to enjoy their work and interacting with the guests. Staff were also superb when I suffered a life threatening allergic reaction which necessitated the calling of an ambulance and my being taken to hospital for treatment.

We were in the rooms in the newer part of the hotel and we were disturbed on all nights of our stay by the noise from neighbouring rooms. There did not seem to be a great deal of soundproofing between rooms. Also the hotel was a little larger and therefore not as intimate as I had hoped (but this is my bad for not researching more thoroughly).

The location is lovely. Our room was a king Deluxe where we requested a bath. The room was clean and very comfortable, with a large, comfy bed. The Spa and swimming pool was lovely and enjoyable. All the staff members were lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was good and the food in the evening was outstanding

The bath was not a standard size, so you could not relax in it which was disappointing. Harry's bar was very noisy when we wanted a quiet, relaxed evening for a meal; we didn't realise it hosted conferences and that this was the only Bar / Restaurant that we could use on-site. Guests who attended these conferences did have access to other areas of the Hotel, we felt that the Hotel was more equipped for this. We assumed there would be some quieter areas to sit if you were a couple looking for a relaxing time which was mentioned on the Hotels website

This was a lovely getaway and highly recommend. I would definitely revisit - it was quiet, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the king room and it was very clean and cosy. Found the bed very comfortable and they don't rush to stop breakfast at their set times which is nice.

- receptionist was robotic - breakfast was quite limited - soap dispensers didn't work too well - spa can get quite crowded - you can only control the temperature of the heating when it's on, there's no way to turn it on if you're cold. I think it's centrally controlled. We did get cold at night.

I stayed at Horwood House Hotel and Spa in April 2025 and had a truly lovely experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were superb—welcoming, helpful, and made the check-in and check-out process completely smooth. We stayed in a Classic Double Room, which was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The real highlight, though, was the peaceful atmosphere of the hotel. Surrounded by greenery, animals, and beautifully maintained grounds, it felt like a proper countryside retreat. We made full use of the spa facilities, which were clean and well-kept—a perfect way to unwind. We also enjoyed a peaceful walk along the nature trail on the grounds, which added to the relaxing vibe of the entire stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, scenic getaway with great service and a touch of luxury, I’d definitely recommend Horwood House.

I love this property for its serene atmosphere and breathtaking views a true escape from the city’s hustle. This is our third stay, and each visit has been more special than the last, thanks in large part to the dedicated staff. A huge shoutout goes to the Egyptian team at the bar, whose warm service sets the tone for a delightful evening. I must also mention Dagmara, our attentive waitress, whose care truly enhanced our dining experience. Additionally, my second interaction with Priya at reception left a lasting impression; her welcoming nature made us feel right at home. This hotel continues to be a remarkable retreat where every detail contributes to an unforgettable stay.

While the property remains charming with its stunning views and serene atmosphere, not everything was perfect. During our very first stay, we celebrated our 5 anniversary, and the hotel truly impressed us with a beautiful gesture, they decorated our room, making the occasion feel extra special. However, during our subsequent visits, including another anniversary celebration, we experienced a notable change in the level of warmth at the reception. Instead of the heartfelt greetings we remembered, the interactions were curt a simple “what do you need” really shocking. Thankfully, Priya stepped in during our second interaction to salvage the experience with her genuine welcome and attentiveness, but it still left us longing for the exceptional hospitality we experienced the first time.

room was spotless, large equipped with everything we needed,staff were fantastic literally nothing to much trouble, from directions when a bit lost on corridors (bit confusing but plenty of signage ,and a good conversation opener with other lost souls!!) to carrying my breakfeat to our room for my wife when I wasn't feeling 100%,dinner in harrys was excellent and once again brilliant servers ,head waiter was amazing. would totally recommend. you don't get to stay in the actual manor house but who wouldn't use that on their website. will def be going back !!!

If you want to chill walk see farm animals this is the place You have everything here Restaurants bar pool sauna steam spa all clean staff friendly service 💯 If you like to chill in sun there a little sun trap through the summer There was a wedding when we was there so asking for late check out was a bit yes no yes no We went to a comedy show in evening so wanted to use facilities in the morning before we left. Was told no by afternoon staff Evening staff said yes and paid a little extra which i was happy to pay just for a few hrs of relaxation before going home I will definitely come back for a chilled weekend in summer just to have a lovely walk down to the next village and walk around

We received a complimentary room upgrade upon check in and the upgraded room was comfortable and a good size, the bed was a super king and pillows were VERY comfortable. We dined at Harry’s Bar and Kitchen - food was 10/10 and service was extremely quick. Check in staff were lovely and helpful and the walks around the grounds were really nice. Breakfast was amazing and just what we wanted!

I wouldn’t market this is a “Spa Hotel” as the spa is very small. But it was clean and very peaceful! We were fortunate to go on a Sunday evening so it was quiet. But a few more amenities would have been nice. We were also on the ground floor and found the upstairs neighbours very noisy as well as some noise from people walking past our window.

We stayed at the hotel for one night as a treat for my husband’s upcoming Birthday. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly member of the reception team who was helpful and polite. We stayed in an executive suite and the bedroom with adjoining living room and bathroom were all exceptionally clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom had all the facilities you would except from a hotel room. We had a meal at Harry’s Bar and Restaurant and the food was delicious; good value for money. Generous portion sizes and attentive service - could not fault our experience there. Breakfast the next morning was equally delightful. The member of staff who greeted us into the dining space, who you could see was busy, was very helpful and took the time to explain the items on the buffet, what was available and where it was all located. From arrival to departure, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.
