I stayed in a dorm room for 8 nights, I had a wonderful time. Ungasan is in the middle of Uluwatu, so it’s not very walkable but is a more affordable stay. Mangga Wangga was the perfect place to rest and socialize. The garden ambience and seating was lovely to enjoy, they have real grass, nice lights. I used the area for yoga and to read. The kitchen was simple but enough. It was a place to socialize with other guests and staff. There’s only a few dorm rooms and the rest is private, I try to find places like this because as a quiet solo traveler I want some social opportunity without any party scene. I get the perks of a more luxury stay like the garden and pool, on a budget. Uluwatu is a surf/resort destination so most guests seemed to stay in at night. Staff were so friendly and kind. Room and bathroom were cleaned daily, they even folded our bedding. Can’t recommend this place more!

Lovely pool and communal areas, used before check in. Bed was comfortable and room was tended to daily (bathroom cleaned etc). Towel provided. Staff were helpful and friendly. Kitchen and fridge available, filtered water fountain, place to leave luggage in reception area. Easy to get a grab into the main areas for shops and restaurants (approx 15 min ride), places around for breakfast, laundry etc just a short walk. Small place for coffee on site. There were 2 tiny kittens and mum cat around when I stayed which I spent a long time cooing over. Overall really comfy good value stay, would come back again

No curtains on the beds but not a huge issue as stayed in female only dorm. No locks on the toilet or shower doors, and toilet doors have been installed so close to the toilet, there is no space to sit down. I am only 5ft 2 and had to sit side saddle, or keep door open 😂 only one locker in the room actually locked with the key.

The price quality ratio is good, that is for sure. The reception guy who knows English is very kind and helpful. Warm shower and clean bathrooms. The pool is really nice and location is good. Good lockers (can't fit a big backpack but for smaller items seem reliable)

There shouldn't be staff without ANY English skills! No curtains in the beds and not all lamps worked, these would really make a huge difference to the dorms. You can't sit on the toilet seat and close the door - the door is way too close to a normal length person. You are 20m from a temple that had a very very loud ceremony until midnight one night I stayed (Saturday night), earplugs helped nothing!

The hostel offers excellent Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and hot showers; rooms are clean, and the pool is well-maintained. Staff are friendly and provide helpful service. Beds are provided with privacy curtains.

The mattress has a noticeable indentation where one lies, which makes sleeping somewhat uncomfortable. The room lacks a lock, and although I personally experienced no problems, it did feel a little less secure than I would have preferred.

People were very kind

I had an incredible experience staying at this hostel! The place is absolutely beautiful, very clean, and has such a welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. It really made me feel at home. The only thing I would suggest for improvement is the bathroom setup — it’s separated by opaque glass, and you can still see people’s shadows through it, which can feel a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, everything was perfect.

The private room was pretty nice—clean, comfortable, and overall okay for a short stay. The space has some charm and a relaxed vibe.

The facilities could use some work. The shared kitchen felt outdated and not very well maintained. The garden area had potential, but the beanbags were dirty, smelled unpleasant. A bit of remodeling and better upkeep would be great!

I loved the location, the pool, the room, the bathroom, the linen, the bedding, the cats, the cleaning was perfect, you have a real cupboard and dressing where to hang your clothes ! Also, nearby (20 meters away) you have a very good french restaurant where you can have delicious Croque-Monsieur, and the best laundry lady ever ! I will be backkk for sure !! 😃😃

Pool was clean and had nice seating around. There was also a bean bag area to chat with other guests. Dorms were clean and simple but had everything you need. Provided hot showers with soap and shampoo.

Towels weren’t clean and dorm lockers were very flimsy. There were mosquitoes in the dorm room and the aircon was ineffective. Toilet door was so close to the toilet we had to use it with the door open.

One of our favourite stays during our time in Gili and Bali. Great sized room, comfortable bed, great pool. Had cats and kittens running around. Great food spots a short drive away. Highly recommend G&A Asian warung and also warung Suki both a small walk away from hotel.

Could maybe do with a few more loungers around the pool but not a big deal!
