Had an amazing stay with Sao and Roger as a solo traveller, even though the place is a bit outside Surat Thani they made it really easy to drive me places or book a taxi. They were also very nice suggesting things to do and were extremely helpfull. I did a jungle boat ride, went to a thai sauna and had some very tasty thai food with them. The cottages are super cute and have everything you need. Definitely recommend and would go back if I'm in the area again!

Couldn't stay longer

Nice and quiet small resort away from the growing tourism we met elsewhere. Beautiful situated along the Bang Sai canal. The owners Sao and Roger are very helpful and can arrange for whatever needed. If you like to go to town and night market Surat Thani can be reached by taxi in 15 minutes. The internet is the best we had during our vacation in Thailand.

The nearest restaurant is 4 km away. However Sao or Roger will arrange tranport or drive you themselves.

Thank you so much Sao & Roger for your warm and authentic hospitality! We loved our (very short) stay here, the cottages are beautiful and well mantained located in the middle of picturesque nature. We also loved the boat tour to the city which was recommended to us. The location is easily reachable from the airport, harbour and the city center with Tuk-Tuks, Taxis and Grab/ Bolt for a good price. Hope to visit you again on our next trip to Thailand! :)

If you are looking for somewhere close to nature and on the River then this place has it! The cottage I had was right on the river and I was able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset watching local long tail boats pass by periodically. The Hosts Roger and Khun Sao really made you feel truly welcome and at home. They even helped make a restaurant booking in a nearby restaurant, drove me there and picked me up when I was ready to go back. Breakfast the next morning was very hearty and different food kept being placed on the table including some of Roger’s home made sweet rolls filled with Crème Anglais! Delicious and all that served with a lovely cup of local Thai coffee! Both Roger and Khun Sao were absolutely the finest hosts and the place was designed and built by Roger himself! Very functional and close to nature! Didn’t try the pool as I arrived late afternoon and left early morning. Oh and there were no mosquitos in the room which was a bonus! Would recommend to any traveler who does not need the frills of a luxury 5 star hotel and is happy being in the midst of the local community with fine hosts that engage with their guests so well! Thank you Khun Sao and Roger! Will be back on my next ride through southern Thailand!

Absolutely nothing. Didn’t have any expectations so all was perfect!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! Nestled next to a river connected to the sea, we were able to enjoy watching the tides ebb and flow. The greenery surrounding the property made it a perfect spot for relaxation and unwinding. The hosts were exceptional—warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond by assisting us in planning activities, sharing insights about local customs, and always being lovely and approachable.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and peaceful place. The rooms were very nice and the view on the river was great. We could also rent a kajak and paddle along the river during sunset. Sao and Roger were both really friendly, welcoming and helpful. They also gave us a lot of great tips for really nice places to visit on the way to our next stop.

A very nice stay at Bangsrai cottage! My room was incredible, was lovely to listen to the sounds of the night. Breakfast was good too and the hosts were friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful property away from the hustle and bustle of Surit Thani. The hosts Sao and Roger are wonderful, kind and friendly and helped us get to town each evening for dinner. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. Couldn’t recommend staying here more. Gorgeous cottage in a glorious setting.

These were the most amazing hosts as we have ever met. You felt the warmth and openness as soon as you are at the location. After we left, they said that we could still contact them for anything. I don’t write reviews often but this experience was magical!

Really unique location by the river and mangroves. Just a short ride out of Surathani. The room was large and comfortable in rustic style with good A/C. The owners were incredibly welcoming and helpful and gave us a taxi ride to town with instructions for tuk tuk to get us back in evening . The breakfast was freshly prepared and tasty.

Like it all but this is in a rural location
