We loved our stay at Ysbrantz! Since we entered from the back of the property, through the beautiful garden eating area, we were surprised when we walked through the bar area and the front dining area to find that we were on a lovely market square! Had a lovely room with modern facilities and plenty of air conditioning. The staff was wonderful, and the food was great! Would love to visit again sometime!

As an American, what I always crave is more coffee. As is the case in much of Europe, the coffee was really more what I would call an espresso shot. Small, but really excellent, too!

The hotel is beautifully decorated, in a great location and has a lovely restaurant. Their sister restaurant nearby was also excellent.

Our room (no.10) - while beautiful - faced the town's main square where early morning cleaning crews with noisy leaf blowers meant we did not sleep well during the four days we were there. Some double glazed windows would really help. To be fair, the hotel supplied ear plugs in the room, but I have problems wearing them. I would stay here again, but ensure I get a room at the back!

This is a lovely small hotel. Our room was very attractive and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I liked the honesty bar. The restaurant's food was exceptionally tasty and had lots of veggie choices.

It has the common problem of no dressing table in the bedroom, nor even a mirror near a socket. I do not want to have to compete for space in the bathroom, nor stand up, to do my hair and make-up. Even on a cold, wet Sunday night there was noise from drunken louts in the square outside. I hate to think what it would be like on a summer Saturday. We were also woken by the noise from the binmen in the morning. I hadn't realised when I booked that there would be no transport from the station as it is not near a bus route and there were no taxis available. We had to walk both ways and although it isn't too far, for me it was very difficult, especially with luggage.

A quaint hotel perfectly situated in the heart of the town square. The room was well-appointed and had all the amenities you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff were super friendly and always eager to assist with anything I needed. The hotel’s restaurant was lovely. The ambiance was cosy and the food delicious. I had a truly lovely few days here and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Highly recommended.

Our room was lovely, comfortable and quiet. They left a very nice personal note and some treats for us. There was also a coffee machine, which we could easily operate and water. We really appreciated having water. They had a secure location for our bicycles. The breakfast was excellent, with a variety of choices. All of the staff was friendly and very efficient. The dining room and terrace were very attractively decorated and comfortable. The location was perfect as you could easily walk to the old harbor area, which was lovely.

Location was excellent. Very central in historic part of town & only 8 min walk to the old harbour. Lovely restaurant but quite expensive due to high quality of food. Staff were brilliant. Beautiful courtyard area; partly shaded if you needed shelter from sun or rain.

The large breakfast was not very large unless you chose lots of items. If you did it was large and very tasty. The chamber maids needed to shake the bottom sheet more as still found grains of sand after my trip to beach. When I mentioned it, I was given clean sheets so put right very quickly.

Excellent location; like an Oasis in the middle of the town/city. Breakfast was tasty, but having to choose EXACTLY what you want in advance means you're not quite sure how much you're getting. The shared mini-kitchen/mini-bar area is a great idea, especially the free fresh fruit; also easily enable you to refill any coffee/tea/water for your own room The garden is lovely, really green and nicely laid out. Very comfy big beds, and an excellent shower. We loved the exposed beams in our room too :)

The lift/elevator is slightly odd; the floor moves, but the walls don't, and you have to hold the button down until you get to your floor. Didn't feel unsafe, just... odd :) See also above for breakfast :)

I was contacted via WhatsApp en route to the hotel and provided with very helpful information. Breakfast was a fairly basic choice and small in size, though OK for us. The hotel is within walking distance of the railway station, though a short taxi ride is better should you have suitcases. The hotel is located close to the town square where there are several bars/restaurants.

The shower needed a convenient place to hang a towel. There are a few large steps in the hotel's courtyard. These are difficult to negotiate with large bags/suitcases.

The location was amazing, in the centre of Hoorn. The hotel & restaurant are beautiful and the garden is a big addition in the summer. The room has everything you'd expect with a lot of attention to detail and very clean. It was perfect.

Due to the fact that it is situated in the centre it could be a bit noisy in the weekends. But that shouldn't keep you from staying here.

Great location, nice room, clean, and neat

Front desk girl wasn’t not friendly, but she wasn’t really friendly either. Dinner was exceptional, except the waitress kept up selling without disclosing… you sit down and she asks would you like some champagne? As if it’s a free offering but it’s not. The shower dripped all night.
