Lovely landlady, very responsive, hard working and pleasant. The breakfast was the normal continental with little changes over the week but it was expected. I would use the hotel again if in the area. Nice large room with good shower and bath facilities.

Due to circumstances in the current world climate on the lack of available staff there was no staff in the hotel until the morning. Unavoidable but a shame. As I said it was sad that you were not met on arrival to welcome you, you had to use a door key safe to enter and the same with the room. Albeit understandable it was a little sad with no human contact. Once you became aware of the entry details and room combination it wasn't a problem. The hotel is nicely placed on a lock with three bridges but very close to an extremely busy and noisey road.

The location is great, the Bus to Amsterdam (25 minute ride) is only a minutes walk away. Edam is a cute town with a few nice restaurants and bars along the picturesque canals. The room was a good size and comfortable, with a seating area and desk. Breakfast was nice and the staff very friendly. Free parking is a 3 minute walk away, and E-Chargers are close to the hotel. Definitely would recommend, especially with the crazy hotel and parking prices in Amsterdam.

No complaints

Quite areas even close to the bus station, besides the river where you can relax, drinking coffee. Rooms very clean, heated floors in the bathrooms, easy check in and out with its keyless code lock doors. They provided generous breakfast portions, and the staff was polite and helpful guiding us around the area. *****

Stairs are too sharp and difficult to bring luggage

The staff was very friendly. Our return flight was cancelled so we needed to stay an extra night. The hotel allowd us to stay longer in the room we were in, despite they had not accepted any reservations due to Christmas closure.

Breakfast was served during one hour in the morning. During weeldays from 8-9am. That is too early. I accept the service between 1 hour in wintertime, but suggest 9-10am.

Very comfortable stay, had all you need in the room.

I was with two children in top floor room, there was no place to leave a pram and car was parked in car park a 5 minute walk. This was difficult carrying two children and bags. No lift in property and stairs were very steep for children.

there is gap between the standing of the hotel and the quality of the service offered: 1/ no free voiturier (there is no parking- you have to find a carpark by yourself or pay 35€ to use the « voiturier service » from the hotel) - we parked in Boterdiep (near the student hotel) it’s 6 mn walk from the hotel and only 13€ for 24h. 2/ the staff doesn’t help you to carry your luggage 🤷🏼‍♀️ 3/ our room was very nice but had a narrow staircase to go the bathroom. Wouldn’t recommend it for an overweighted or old person.

Self check in was well described and easy to follow. The room incl. washroom were comfortable and time was flying.

The lock of the door didn't function well and you really had to pull it to close. That was a noisy experience and most probably all guests woke up by that which is not so nice...

Breakfast, simple but great coffee!!!! Room super clean and confortable, The employees were very professional. Location is excellent for day trips We ended staying an extra night!!!!

Although the hotel doesn't have its own parking. There are parking spots very nearby. The breakfast was real nice and extended. It was a real good selection of fresh fruit, bread and croissants. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bed was great. The heating was also very well configured, so the temperature was real comfortable. I like the concept of entering the hotel and room with a pincode, with no fuss of checking in and out. But the staff that was there (for breakfast) was very friendly. So in all, we had a lovely stay.

The mini fridge didn't cool as much as we would have liked it to.
