Good hotel in a great location. The staff were nice and friendly, and the room was comfortable.

The bathroom was a little bit old and unmaintained, so the showerhead holder kept falling apart. Also there was no shower curtain or anything to block splashes from the bath, so each time you take a shower the whole bathroom ends up wet (unless you are careful)

Lounge was lovely, food was very good Breakfasts were good and the staff were mostly excellent. The boot room and the walk to our room were both a little scruffy and could do with an upgrade. The bath/shower arrangement wasn't great and we would prefer and stand up shower/curtain arrangement.

As above. Just a few upgrades. Also didn't like the pricing in the lounge...a Gin was €14...and that I can handle but the price of the accompanying tonic was outrageous. Finally, I brought a rental car and although your website (from memory) said there was parking, they didn't say it was €30 a day, which is too much, at the very least this should be disclosed on the website.

- excellent location : ski in ski out - super kind and caring helpful staff (bar staff gave us ice for our injuries when we needed, reception sorted out transfer from moutiers swiftly when shuttle got cancelled last minute, arranged massage service, personalised check-in and guidance around the hotel etc) - good tasty breakfast & service - comfortable spacious room with balcony and view - massage - the lounge area with the bar and fireplace

- the ski locker room needs a bit of renovation - the pool entrance section from the spa area was not ideal (stepping into the shallow water pool that everyone walks through)

We had a fantastic stay here this February. Wonderful hotel, great location right on the slopes, we all loved it. I have to say that the best thing however was the service and the staff. They were highly professional, helpful and made our stay such an easy experience. Very impressed all round.

Some of the rooms may seem slightly dated, though it gives something of a rustic charm. That said some more sockets and charging points are always helpful these days.

Top location: the hotel is at the slopes, where 3 gondola lifts start - to Courchevel, Meribel and Val Thorence. On the way back you may ski down a slope directly to the hotel, enabling you to ski till the lifts close. Nice ambiance: wood mostly, a fireplace in the bar area. Food is phenomenal! Rich breakfast and exceptional gourmet dinners. Compliments to the chef! We were HB, had oysters, duck magre, beef with chestnuts and mushrooms, foia gras…. Then a wheelcart with a wide variety of cheese comes… and there is a dessert corner where we had fresh raspberries, home made chocolate with nuts, amazing panacotta and a variety of pastries. Staff is attentive and polite. I had high quality sleep, and generally I have very fragile sleep. The hotel was extremely quiet in the sleeping hours. Spa: two small saunas, a large steambath, a swimming pool and a relax area. A small, but well equipped gym. A squash. All very clean, and maintained at the proper temperature. Hotel location is also very convenient for travel, as the bus stop is literally 200 m from it. We arrived by bus from Geneva airport. Many many thanks for our wonderful ski vacation!!

• The standout feature of the hotel, in my opinion, is the staff. Every employee is incredible: friendly, hardworking, responsive, and genuinely pleasant. Thanks to each one for enhancing our vacation! • The hotel’s location is perfect for skiing, with all lifts nearby. Mottare is a charming and peaceful place without the hustle and bustle. • Both restaurants are the tastiest in the village! Keep in mind, during peak season, it gets crowded, so reservations are recommended. • Breakfasts are very good and tasty, albeit not very diverse. The food is superb, and there’s delicious fresh baking every morning! • Ski equipment rental available at the hotel. They provided brand-new boots, and all equipment was of excellent quality. The service is outstanding, assisting with gear and ensuring everything is prepared in advance – especially appreciated after a day of skiing! • The spa facilities, sauna, pool, and gym, all operated flawlessly. Massage is good.

If there’s a downside: no bottled water in the room. It would be great to have greens or vegetables at breakfast.

The room was extremely comfortable. I loved the bar area. Very relaxing at the end of the day. The staff were all very pleasant and couldnt do enough for you.

Nothing! I loved hotel Mont Vallon and I will definitely book again if I visit Meribel Mottaret. Excellent Hotel and location

Rooms were very hot at night and unless you opened balcony door (which in our case took you to a shared balcony), there were no windows to cool room down. Despite turning radiator down, the room was still very warm so we didn’t sleep that well.
