It's a quirky, old fashioned place. We were lucky to stay in two of the upstairs heritage rooms but that meant climbing a tall, thin stairwell. One room had two twins that made sleeping together as a couple difficult. Buy a big mattress! The other was lovely and charming as was the first but the hot water situation wasn't great. The gardens are lovely. The outdoor tea on the lawn while limited was charming. The food at the restaurant at night not good for us. At breakfast they were willing to accommodate me and put out sautéed vegetables and that was lovely. Anish at the front desk is a charming and sweet person. I love the look of this hotel a lot but it could use a little work like fixing the shower to keep the hot water flowing. The pillows were great. Loved the birds and the peacocks on the lawn. Exploring the Gwalior fort and some amazing surrounding temples was wonderful.

The hot water in the heritage rooms. The dinner at the restaurant.

An awesome 17th century setting with beautiful temples on the grounds and card in the seat pocket you may need to hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Gwalior's streets. The food at the restaurant was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The suites were extremely spacious and comfortable.

A nearby temple was broadcasting a combination of sermons and music over a loudspeaker directly into the courtyard of the hotel the first day that we were there. Requirements The noise continued until pretty late in the evening (around 10:30 PM). Then it stopped. The next day, there was some sporadic broadcasting at different times of the day, but not in the evening. The third day, there was almost nothing. The hotel had no control over the noise, but the first day was almost intolerable. The second and third days were fine.

The property is charming and clean. A boutique property with just 16 rooms, beautiful gardens, exotic birds (we saw grey hornbills), peacocks, centuries old beautiful buildings such as the baradari in the middle of charbagh, the cenotaphs deep in the garden all add to the unique charm of a hotel in a historic city. The rooms are clean, comfortable and aesthetically done up. The staff are warm and hospitable. Food, simple but good. The fresh produce of the properties gardens adds a special touch.

An alcohol licence should be obtained especially as there is not much to be done in the evenings. A pool is planned and would be a good addition. We hear rooms will also be added - please do retain the quiet and boutique like charm of the place!

Beautiful property. We could see many peacocks in the lawn and on the trees. The food quality and variety were excellent. The staff is very well trained and polite. I would name a few people from the restaurant - Chef Naresh and Narayan. Other staff member Ajit Parmar and one more his colleague. They have one good system of serving high tea in the sprawling lawn at 5.00 PM everyday. We had cookies, sandwiches, cakes and pakodas. We really enjoyed this.

None to state.

Neemrana Gwalior was one of the best places we ever stayed in India. We would highly recommend this to one and all. The poignant setting reminds us of all of the beauty that was India. Gwalior is a chaotic small town but this place is a gem. The care with which these buildings have been redone and maintained is truly commendable. The staff were very courteous and the cooks were wonderful. The food was delicious. They even had high tea in the gardens. The gardens are surrounded by small temples from the 16 to 17th centuries. The gardens attract a variety of birds including peacocks. We look forward to returning to this place again for a longer stay.

Everything was just right. No complaints at all.

I rarely give a 10/10 but Deo Bagh is truly exceptional. All aspects of service, the food, the rooms are first class without unecessary gimmicks that gain 5 stars but add nothing to the experience. As an added bonus, the grounds are wonderful, a mix of formal gardens, ancient family temples and a farm, populated by Peacocks and a variety of other birds, including Hornbills, Coucal and Barbet. All this in the centre of Gwalior.

Nothing that the hotel can control, but there is some traffic noise. One night we experienced music culture wars in the form of mega speakers blasting out competing traditional music and no it wasn't a wedding! Our inflight noise cancelling headphones came in handy.

Location is not very central but a sprawling property with lots of open space was more desirable than just the location. This property is very nice for a laid back holiday where you can relax and enjoy their good hospitality. The spread for breakfast is wide and ranging from continental to Indian and the alacarte menu is also decent. The quality of food preparation is commendable.

Cant say negative of any feature, during my stay

Very well spread out. Lovely grounds with peacocks, peahens and squirrels running around. Rooms were large and they have left them with a lot of old world charm. The staff were extremely courteous and attentive.

The approach road inside the property is horrendous. Our car was being jostled all over and we were battered around every single time we entered or exited the property. The water pressure in the shower could be improved.

The property is as beautiful as in the pictures , a quite historic jewel right in the centre of Gwalior within easy reach of all historic monuments. The staff is really well trained and the Managers took great care of attending to all our special requests. The quality of food was very nice as well. The property houses some temples and other tiny marvels. The central lawns are so spacious with peacocks wandering around. The rooms are very spacious as well. We had a great time here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Gwalior.

Frankly, NOTHING :)
