This place was an EXPERIENCE! We had to walk up the steep mountain hill to get there. And there were scary bear signs! And there was trickling rivers and flourishing vegetation everywhere! And then we made it up there, it was like a haven. They got massages, massage chairs, gambling, a store, good breakfast/dinner buffet, and a nice onsen. The view is amazing, if you get a good room - if you don't, take the elevator up to the observatory and watch the sun set on the horizon of the green mountains while you are getting a massage.

The trek up there was a menace! But they do have the cheapest transport service around to get you back to the train station of the nearby town. Which was so nice, so just ask them for transport. I don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. The closest is that their biggest yukata didn't fit me. (Just wear a shirt under it, so you dont flash the others)

Hotel is older and you can tell was something special in the past. The onsen baths were excellent. Multiple family members enjoyed the massage services. Dining buffet was excellent and fun to see most people enjoying their meals in traditional robes after relaxing in the onsen baths.

The room was basically mats on the floor in one crowded room for 5 of us.

The dinner and breakfast buffet was great, with many different options. The hotel is a bit far up into the mountain, so I recommend having a car to get there. The onsen was great after spending the day exploring the area. However, be aware that you can’t use the onsen if you have tattoos.

The baths were super! The room very comfortable. The shuttle was excellent. The hotel was very beautiful.

The buffet was not my preference, but I understand that with the price, a buffet was the best available option.

Food was great and Onsen is marvelous. Definite will stay again. Although it is a very short walk but the hotel provides Shuttle bus between car park.

Breakfast and dinner were both buffet style. We arrived late for check-in but made it in time for the 7pm final slot. Breakfast starts early, last slot at 8:15am.
