This place is a "hidden gem". You absolutely cannot beat this place for a quiet, peaceful stay in the city of Cabarete. Manicured property (trees, flowers, grass, etc.), very close to the beach. Hear the sounds of the wind blowing through the palm trees at the same time as hearing the ocean waves crash hear the shore.

The ONLY thing "some" people may not like about El Magnifico Hotel is there is no "on property" restaurant on the site. However, this maybe a GOOD thing...helps keep the property clean and quiet. Plus, there are several excellent local restaurants hear the hotel, and there is a Supermarket (Janet's) just a few steps away (yes, walking distance).

This property we choose as we had very high expectations based on the reviews. Specially we wanted to stay at beach front location. It is beach front but beach is all rocky and not desirable to enjoy. You really can’t use the beach in front of the property. This place has amazing beautiful gardens and lush green grounds. If you are into that you will love it. We were there for water and ocean and we don’t really got to see that. Rooms was ok specially if you are going to be on higher floor it’s a workout using a spiral stairs to get to it. The front desk staff and security guards were very nice and helpful.

It’s not a true oceanfront as you can’t use the beach. Lots of rocks and beach is very ruff waters.

Amazing staff very kind and helpful. The guardian Francisco even helped me to cure a distortion of my knee. Location just in front of the sea, amazing pool and even better jacuzzi open 24 h with warm water. Lovely environment full of tropical plants you can really get lost inside this nature.

The room for a couple doesn’t have a door between the bedroom and the bathroom, and this could be embarrassing. It would be nice to mention it on the description on booking just to aware the clients. All the rest is awesome!

breakfast service would be nice to have , even if its catered. wonderfully built and maintained, hot jaccuzi with view on the beach is splendid at night . staff was very friendly.

not a problem for me but having a cemetary right next door could be a bit scary for some people :-)

El Magnifico was a serene oasis in an otherwise busy area. The view of the beach from our "flat" was serene, and we could hear the waves all night. The crystal clear pool and hot tub were wonderful, and the staff super nice.

The area around it is pretty crowded and loud; the reefs are (not surprisingly) degraded. But El Magnifico is a Jewel and we found a wonderful restaurant walking distance away - Fresh Fresh.

superb hotel, clean with amazing gardens , the jaccuzi's are fantastic especially at night . super friendly staff . just perfect at a very low price.

would be great if they have breakfast service , now you have to leave that perfect relaxing location to have breakfast which breaks the atmosphere .

It's so much more beautiful then the pictures! It's the most charming hotel i've ever stayed at. We had a seaview room surounded by a paradise garden.

I wish we had had more information or a hotel tour at the check in. We only found out towards the end there was a hot tub and a beautiful place to get massages.

Great views and nice staff. My husband and I had a very comfortable stay, and we enjoyed the pool very much.

No access to swim in the beach in front but that is out property’s admin control. Maybe a blackout would be nice for windows.

Best place I have ever stayed at ever! I will return every year I visit the DR! The staff was absolutely amazing! Very friendly and helpful. The room has an amazing view. There were pools and hot tubs in several places on the property. Every spot on this property was beautiful. I cant say how much I loved this place and the price was perfect! Cant wait to return next year.

Design of my room, the architecture of the buildings, the landscaping & the location. Water was always warm with good pressure for showers. Very tranquil day or night. Beach towel avail, room cleaned daily, safe in room, mesh on windows & sliding door to keep bugs out. Good a/c though I hardly used it. Mini fridge with bottle opener attached. Towels & washcloths provided. I would stay here again & can recommend this Cabarete hotel. Ok

Windows could use a shade, exterior light at night made my room brighter than i prefer. I did sleep well though.
