There are different types of rooms here. Typical hotel rooms and what i rented which i would call tropical picturesque. The views are nothing short of stupendous. I say tropical because of the tiny ants all over the place. Everything is plastic or wood and the bed is on wooden stilts (not recommend for anyone north of 250lbs single or 300lbs double max). The very tiny critters stay to their own and don't join you as long as you stay elevated. I kept my luggage on the plastic dining table and a wooden dresser. I imagined myself camping (glam style) and enjoyed the place. The only thing was the doors are the sliding screen type with paper clip locks. So, I would take my passport, credit cards and phone whenever heading out. I figured i could rebuild from there if the unthinkable happened and my room was empty on return. Again, this is not negative statement just leave what you would in a tent if camping.

Beautiful landscape nice for people planning weddings you can get great pictures. Breakfast was ok.

No hand towels. No regular tea bags. No drinking water they ran out. The most annoying thing is you have to pay cash only with US dollar or dominican paiso when you check in. Thats all they accept. . Do not accept any credit card payment to check in. Please bring cash when you arrive. Even restaurant does not accept credit card.

Really nice property, renovations in progress. Quiet, away from main road, but still 5 minute walk from beaches and restaurants, nice view. Room was nice, needed some small repairs but everything worked as it should.

My bed was quite firm. The ocean view is amazing but the waves were quite intense and shook the building. Not a great spot for a youngish solo female travler, most guests were older, or families. But that's not the properties fault.

In the room: The bed, though firm, was comfortable. The bedding was clean. The plumbing all worked and there was warm water to shower and wash long hair. The bathroom fixtures are old but clean. The air conditioning worked making the room temperature comfortable. The balcony is an adequate space to have refreshments and enjoy the amazing view. The refrigerator in the room worked. There is a large closet with plenty of hangers. The property: The location offers a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset. It is walking distance to Sosua beach in one direction and the super market in the other and it is surrounded by other quiet properties. Although there is building maintenance ongoing it is not disturbing. The swimming pools are attended to daily and are refreshing. The eating areas take advantage of the view and are not crowded. One evening a pianist played the baby grand. The food was good to very good. We enjoyed the included breakfast buffet and ordered from the lunch and evening menus. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet. We would recommend that you stay here while it is still available. We have the sense that the erosion from the ocean makes pouring money into it not sustainable. Perhaps that is why repairs are minimal.

The wood furniture was very old and falling apart.

I love the vintage look of the hotel, the view or the ocean the gardens and patios were stunning, the pool was nice.

The property needs some maintenance done. I really hope they do it because this place is worth it, the beds are hard and old, but they were clean! the shower need some maintenance, my husband had to kinda clean the head of the shower, because water wasn’t coming out properly after he did that we were able to have a better shower.🤭

Great views of the ocean and breakfast was good. Nearby beaches are walking distance. There’s Wifi available in each room and staff was great. Good price for the quality

The smaller pool was not clean and the large one was undergoing repair. Door handles are cheap and need replacement. The beds were hard are pillows too soft. Only had one towel the first night.

I like the view and the location of this hotel. It is on "puntilla" last thing on a peninsula and therefore the view is really good and there is no noise of the traffic. If you're lucky and there are no noisy families, you can hear the sound of the ocean. The view from the seaside rooms and balconies is simply beautiful. It has been a "palace" sometime in the past, now it is a bit like time travel with its own charm. Wifi is good. Walking distance to the beaches, restaurants etc.

It gets noisy when ignorant families spend time at the pool or corridors, and no smoking rooms get filled by smoke, if someone on the next balcony smokes. Cleanliness is on and off. There's a little waterbottle in the room, luckily there's a possibility to fill in the lobby.

I loved everything about this place, the location was great to everything around, I didn't have to get a scooter or taxi at all, the staff was so nice and courteous, always greeted you with a smile, very attentive.

The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't a whole lot of hot water to take showers

The breakfast was great, there were a wide variety of food to satisfy everyone's taste The location is awesome, the view of Sosua Bay from the dinning room is very relaxing and breathtaking beautiful!

wheelchair accesibility is limited around the property. The property is a bit dated. The air condition could not be adjusted in one of the 2 rooms I booked. The door knobs were of concern, but the property is very safe and the staff very accommodating and friendly, so I was not afraid that the door did not appear to fully lock.

-Sand beaches not in walking distance -Noisy AC -Extra 3rd bed in the room, would have much rather had been able to use the empty space to do yoga. -made you wear a paper wristband during your stay, it was ugly and uncomfortable
