Very nice pool and beach. The view is amazing. We also enjoyed the spa (massages) several time. Great practitioners.

Might need a bit more diversity in the menu but we stayed 2 weeks. However several locations are available in the vicinity.

We’ve been staying at Casa Colonial for five years following a medical mission. The facilities have always been wonderful and the staff helpful and accommodating, but this is the first year that we’ve experienced a dip in service. We hope this was just a blip on the radar.

Breakfast was excellent. Served on a terrace overlooking the beach. Good choice and friendly service.I would recommend the fruit plate with locally grown passion fruit and fresh passion fruit juice.

What is not clear from the advertising is that Casa Colonial is located inside a gated resort, Playa Dorada and is without doubt the best Hotel in the resort. Casa Colonial is located next door to two hotels which were all inclusive and loud music was audible in the evenings.Dining options outside the Hotel are also limited.

We have been traveling to Casa colonial for the past four years following a rigorous trip with a mission group. It is an ideal place to rest and recover, totally relaxing totally beautiful and with wonderful staff.

Price for the night is a little too much.

We like the most is the architecture of the hotel and zen like atmosphere.

The food quality is excellent however their menu could have more variety of choices.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel and grounds, staff are exceptional and atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing and romantic getaway. I could have stayed for much longer. This is not a party hotel, it’s very quiet and the beach was almost empty when we were there (during the off season) — food and drinks are great. We will definitely be back.

I was never clear on tipping protocol.

After 15 years of travelling throughout the Dominican Republic, this is the best place we have stayed at. Spacious yet small enough to not need a golf cart to go to restaurants and the beach. Beautiful architecture, decor and furnishings. Great food. Perfect beach. Quiet. Friendly.

Only one minor thing: the junior suite balconies are so close to each other you can shake hands with your neighbors.

This Stylish and Boutique Hotel and Spa is one that I will recommend for those that like elegance, great food, drinks, and a peaceful environment. I work for the Airline industry, this place is great for any event or quick stay.
