The food was excellent and me and my wife really enjoyed the entertainment also the staff was very polite and helpful

My biggest complaint was the cigar salesman. I’m a frequent visitor to the arturo fuente cigar lounge in Santo Domingo and pay $8 for my typical cigar however the salesman at the resort tried to charge me $45 for the same cigar and when I pointed the price difference out to him he told me “You are american its okay $45 is nothing” which is highly unprofessional and disrespectful.

❤ the food was awesome....staff was very friendly and had great personalities. Very clean good options was great the pool bar was awesome. The entertainment was also great my kids really enjoyed there self ☺ and my two year old learned Spanish. The rooms was well kept and cozy.

Need more options in the liquor and beer department....

The grounds and layout of the resort, best value on Playa Dorada. The food is seriously wonderful. The staff is attentive and polite. It feels like a vacation !

As they do in several hotels, gave me a crappy room upon arrival and upgraded me twice until I landed in a beautiful room. Also they keep trying to offer you to move to a room in a private and exclusive area of the resort at a much higher price, but I stood my ground and insisted on a good standard room for the price I already paid. It took about 3 days out of a 15-day stay so it was worth my time and the hassle of haggling with the concierge.

We had an amazing time at the resort. We have been here in the past and decided to try other resorts, but SUNSCAPE is by far a better resort. MELANIA DOMINGUEZ from housekeeping was great...... so pleasant and at our service every moment that we needed assistance. There was an error in our reservation with Booking.com when checking in and ANDERSON was very helpful in taking care of us and correcting everything.... after a long flight from New York it was refreshing to have him take care of us and assuring us that he would handle everything. Upon check out, we were running late for our flight, JULISSA at the Front Desk quickly sprung into action and provided an expedient check out. I want to mention that SILNIA in the Pool Snack Area always provided service with a smile and never said no to our needs....she should be multiplied by 10 along with a gentleman (unfortunately, I can't remember his name) who does the serving at the Pool Snack Area, who from experience I know had been there for well over 10 years when I started coming here. During our dining experience at the Italian restaurant there was a gentleman, FRANCISCO, wow what a pleasure.... we enjoyed him thoroughly. Overall, KUDOS to whomever does your hiring...... YOUR STAFF IS EXCEPTIONAL...... Sunscape will be our home away from home in Puerto Plata.

We reserved two rooms, #10203 and #10205. The air conditioning in #10205 stopped working the night before our departure.... we called multiple times that night and after being told that someone would come to fix it, no one came. We had to take our adult children into our room for the night at 2am in the morning because the heat was unbearable.

Everything about this property was amazing! The staff was so nice and very welcoming. I loved when my party and I arrived they all said welcome HOME. The food was delicious every day. The breakfast, lunch and dinner had many options from your meat lover to vegetarian. Many options to choose from. The drinks were good, the entertainment was awesome and there is a plaza in walking distance where you can find all your souvenirs and other products you might have forgotten. I will definitely be coming back!!!

The property was clean and very presentable.

My husband and I had made a romantic dinner reservation on the beach. Unfortunately I was not feeling well and we had to cancel a little while after making the reservation. the person that was in charge of canceling that the reservation never did and it seemed to cause an issue. That night when we went to dinner at the regular restaurant, several of the staff members came up to us asking us what happened. We had explained the situation however, several more people came up to us asking us the same question. Even the next day we were asked what happen with the dinner. It was quite irritating, having to explain what happen several times. the only complaint I have about this resort is they need better communication within their staff.

We were in the vip area, drinks were excellent, food is great, beach was cleaned drinks server on the beach was excellent, massage on the beach was great.

The shows needs some improvements, also we did not like the club, the floors are wood and is very uneven we were close to fall every time we try to dance is not very invited. The deserts are not good.

Nice area, nice beach, pool, bars, restaurants, enterntainment, staff, cocktails!

Wi-Fi only in lobby - awful! Food caused a stomach pain on day 2, but in might have been just we are not used to local menu. But veggies were tasteless, so were ham, cheeses, etc.

The hotel is not the same  It was nothing to do there, the 5 days was there was so  boring, no activity for the client I make a 2 hour line to be able to eat, that was crazy  I hope they fix everything because the location is beautiful

You get what you pay for. Sunscape is more affordable so food was as expected. A solid 6/10. Staff and service was 10/10

Humidity is horrible but nothing the staff can do about that
