The customer service is amazing, someone always willing to help.

The regular rooms are small, outdated, kind of a motel feeling. You only get the best rooms (villas) if you are a resort member. This resort wasn’t what we were expecting in DR. This was our first visit. This resort at this time of the year is perfect for elderly couples looking to relax. Property is very quiet, the lobby and bar played soft elevator music. If you are looking for a party ambient, this isn’t the place for you. (We were told to visit in November for a fiesta kind of stay) They do offer tours, offer different country meals, and have pool activities. Ps. We bought a membership to visit their other resorts.

The arrival was smooth, I was in my car and was able to park within the premise. The reception and the services were fine, it was very crowded that weekend. The room were OK, either way I was expecting something different. The areas were clean and they service try they best to maintaining that way, there were a lot of people and they were always looking to organize and refill everything. The beach was amazing, the Villas have their own space on the beach and you can relax without worrying about people. The food was ok, it was buffet but they include theme every night to change it up a bit.

The reception, before arriving I was trying to connect with the person in charge of reservations, it didn't connect at all. Before that, I send an email just to confirm my request and I got no response. Accommodation in the room, I request two beds in the room and they change me to a room with one bed. The bathroom was so small that was a bit uncomfortable (I haven't time to take photo) The facade overall of the Villa, it looks a bit old. I think they need to remodeling the complexes, not just maintaining them.

Any unit close to 3 swimming pools. Fantastic swim up pool bar with huge sparkling clean pool. Excellent sturdy loungers poolside. Dining chairs comfortable. Beautiful green landscaping.

Offer lounge pool cushions.

The facilities were great and extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was great and had a great sense of humor. The buffet was very good and had a wide selection and was goodquality

The management does not return messages or reply. for 3 months I wrote and texted with questions and I did not get any replies. I almost canceled the vacation because of it.

We loved the room, very spacious and clean. The bathroom was kinda tiny but good, they provide everything you need for regular bathroom use. The beach always was clean. I spot some employees cleaning the beach in the morning.

Sometimes people come to the hotel and they don't respect the calm and quietness. Screaming sometimes and getting louder while drinking alcohol at the pool. The hotel doesn't have Disco so they use the restaurant at the beach for that. so if you want to be at the beach at night, stargazing or chatting, forget to hear the sound of the beach and the waves.

First of all, I liked how kind all the workers were I don’t remember their names but there’s a lady at the front desk with a beautiful haircut, her costumer service is wonderful! Beside that I love the beautiful views of the gardens, the beautiful beach and the nice restaurants

My boyfriend and I were a little disappointed with the room we got. The room they give us was not what they showed us online. When we told them we weren’t happy with the room they told us the room they put online are for VIP. I asked for a king size bed they gave us a double full bed.

The food was fantastic for Dominican resorts. The staff is the best I've experienced. Upon arrival I was greeted with an ice cold hand cloth and beverage. Both were greatly appreciated!! GREAT FIRST IMPRESSION. There was absolutely no line at our 4pm (hour late. Check-in is at 3pm) arrival time to check-in. At every other resort we had to wait in a 20-30 minute line which always is turbulent. Not this time at Blue Bay. The buffet was great! Fresh delicious hot food. 24/7snack was a HUGE highlight. The 24 hour snack bar is at the beach. From reception-janitor the staff was just perfect. Blue Bay resort Puerto Plata, I'm extremely happy with what you doing there! Great job! Ohh, I almost forgot to mention a VERY important characteristic to the resort. Blue Bay is an ADULT ONLY resort that aims to please the mature adult crowd. Another plus, the resort was not overly full. And lastly, the property is positioned on the PERFECT stretch of beautiful beach. TOTALLY private (with the exception of beach vendors), clean, perfect amount of covered beds and beach layout chairs. Both the beds and chairs had a canopy to shade residents.

If I had to mention something it would be the hair shavings my wife found in the shower. The hair and a couple other indicators my wife found brought us to the conclusion that the room had not been tended to just prior to our arrival. The mini fridge didn't function well (warm drinks), there was no coffee to make In the coffee machine. It was clear that a staff member or non-guest stayed in the room and didn't have it properly cleaned and stocked before our arrival.

It was very beautiful, food was great, staff was very friendly and there were a lot of activities throughout the day. Jesus is one of the staff members who really stood out. He was always trying to get people involved and was so up beat.

i like the friendly staff specially one of the ladies entertainent call Lisbeth..she was outstanding!!!!

i wish the resort have more night activities..like shows,dance and more pool entertaiment..also if you can have iced coffee and more food variety

The pools, the beach, the room, the water, coffee and the juice stations.

The breakfasts (no variety). The stairs (to a second floor are very small).The night shows and activities should be more game oriented. Instead of doing dancing lessons, you should include simple games or competitions. That's what couples may enjoy. Just a recommendation.
