The Golden Tulip is excellent value for money and a very clean, crisp and well laid out hotel. My room was large and comfortable with a veranda that opened out onto the pool area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was of good quality with excellent variety. There is also a pool, gym and an excellent spa.

These are not criticisms but observations to help with continual improvement. I had dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening and the portions were huge. Ridiculously huge! I could only eat a quarter of the food presented leaving an awful lot of waste. Can I suggest that portion sizes be reviewed? Some of the gym equipment has minor damage and this should be repaired. Finally, I had problems with the wifi and could not log on for any length of time. I suspect this was the broadband provider and not the hotel.

Although the hotel is old-fashioned, it has maintained its elegance and cleanliness. The staff are very cooperative and the reception service is very fast. I had two connecting rooms and I had requested some extras in advance and they were prepared in advance. The rooms are clean and have everything you need during your stay. The materials are of high quality. The swimming pool is very large and clean and has a section designated for children. There is a gym next to the pool. The hotel is located 5 minutes away from the city by car and it is also close to the Green Mountain. There is ample parking space. The rooms are also spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The covers and pillows are soft and comfortable. I highly recommend it.

A beautiful hotel with well cared for lush attractive gardens which is very unusual in Oman. Peaceful, elegant decor, relaxing, lovely pool, lovely staff and an excellent BBQ style buffet dinner by the pool. Breakfasts catered for all tastes too. Comfortable spacious rooms. Good parking.

The hotel is in an isolated spot well outside Nizwa so any visitors would need transport or to be part of a tour. It seemed that many European group tours use this hotel which might be off putting for some seeking an authentic Oman experience. We liked the location as it was convenient for visiting other sites and was well away from the busy centre of Nizwa.

Big bed and direct access to the pool

I asked for a late check out and I was told the hotel was fully booked and they could not extend it. Honestly the hotel was half empty with very few people around.. just say you can’t without using excuses. There is a table hockey next to the rooms and you can hear the puck banging and people exulting at every goal.. I suggest moving the table far away from the rooms. Please also improve the ventilation hood in the kitchen as there smell of cooked food was really strong during breakfast. All the rest was good

I had such a lovely stay at Golden Tulip Nizwa! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and has a very warm, homely atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. Everything was spotless—cleanliness is clearly a top priority here. The staff were exceptional: super friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. From check-in to check-out, the service was smooth and professional. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Nizwa and would love to stay here again!

The staff were absolutely amazing. Elegant place. Neat and very well maintained. The staff was great and went beyond to ensure ease & comfort, Ms. Asiya, Ms. Lucy, Mr. Suhail from the reception & Ms. Decian from the restaurant, Mr. Kamal from guest service needs a special mention. The room was clean. The location is convenient. Highly recommended a stay during trips to Nizwa & Jabal Akhdar. Will be coming back. Thank you so much. Nicha & Dhee.

Spacious room, great breakfast, direct access to the pool from the balcony. The lobby was indeed impressive! Staff is very friendly.

The water of the pool was not very clean/clear. Probably requires extra treatment/maintenance. Room services was a bit overpriced compared to Omani standards. For example, we ordered the shrimps tempura and paid 7 O.R excl. taxes for 6/7 shrimps! But overall, we had a great stay!

It was nice design and comfortable room

There was too many Indian and wearing bikini was not comfortable because their look made me so uncomfortable. And we had dinner i have allergic to fish. I told the waitress but then we had fish sauce as a starter it came with hummus. I didnt know it was fish sauce, waitress didn’t inform me. My stomach pained 2 days and throwing up all night. They need to fix this important things!

We had a truly calm and quiet experience at this property. The location is excellent, and the interior design is both tasteful and inviting. Everything went smoothly during our stay - the staff were courteous and attentive throughout. We’ll definitely be returning!

the maintenance team could improve - the interconnecting room lock wasn’t functioning smoothly, which was a minor inconvenience.

Elegant, beautifully designed hotel with a 25 metre pool set in attractive gardens. The rooms were spacious and well equipped - we had a sofa as well as an armchair. The food was delicious, especially when they had the evening bbq by the pool. The hotel made a great base for exploring the area. It is easy to find and park in. It’s a completely straightforward 20 minute drive into the large car park by the souk in Nizwa. It’s also well worth making the 7 minute drive into Birkat Al Mouz, a destination not to be missed. Strongly recommended.
