This hotel was just simply amazing! Beautiful modern rooms with floor to ceiling windows with a view on to the valley and canyon. Pool is fantastic and the whole place is just so peaceful and calm. Yes it's preferable to have a 4 wheel drive to get there, but seriously, its worth driving 7km on the off track road to get there. The staff where very friendly. You will not be disappointed with this gem of a hotel!!!

The food menu needs a serious make over but we conveyed that to the hotel. Hopefully they will take comments on board because it needs attention.

The view from 'The View' is stunning! Facilities are all right, clean, spacious, toilet/shower all right. Breakfast was very good. Not much to do around the hotel, but hanging around on the patio, enjoying the views with a cup of tea is great enough. We didn't try the swimming pool as we arrived quite late.

Little to do around the hotel - so for me 'The View' is a place for one day/night: enjoy dinner, swimming pool, the views. Having said this - the place is a bit of must-check-out if it's on your route. Views are truly stunning.

1. The property has lot of Mosquitoes, which can make your stay outside in Balcony very difficult and very unpleasant, specially if You want to enjoy the Evening vibe. Management need to find some good solution to eliminating the Mosquito problem. 2. Road towards the Hotel is really really bad. Without 4WD vehicle its a challenge to reach the hotel atleast for last 5km to 6km. Management has to look into this. 3. Apart from Swimming pool there is nothing else at property to do specially for kids. Would suggest that management develop a small park and some other entertainment stuffs to be created.

Amazing view & sunset! quiet and laid-back. Very friendly staff and smooth check-in. Received a free room upgrade and discount on meals. Nothing to worry about the drive if you are in a 4X4. Possible in a car but not recommended.

Not much of shaded area to escape the mid-day heat (except for staying within the room or restaurant area and enjoying the view). However, temperatures drop at around sunset and makes it very comfortable and enjoyable to be in the open (visited in April).

Phenomenal views out across the valley below. Stunning infinity pool. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Getting to dinner just before sunset was magical as you enjoyed the views of the mountains saturated in golden light before the valley floor was transformed into sparkling jewels as the city lights glistened in the night mirrored by the clear starlight skies above. Modern bathrooms.

The single bed was not the most comfortable and the bathwater was not quite hot enough.

The view is amazing, both from pool, restaurant and our room. The sunrise fills your room completely with a warm orange glow…magical. The sun sets behind the mountains which is equally stunning. The restaurant staff were amazing. Always cheerful and exceptionally attentative

The room windows stretch from floor to ceiling, which is awesome, but they are unfortunately not 100% transparent. Somehow a bit foggy, which is sad. It doesn’t in any way ruin the view, but it could be even better

I wasn't sure what to expect from this hotel but I was absolutely blown away when we arrived! It is well-designed and absolutely gorgeous. Each room has an uninterrupted majestic view of the mountains and valley. The bathtub is divine. The swimming pool is gorgeous and the perfect temperature. The gardens and the landscaping were beautiful. The staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were plentiful and had many options, including for vegetarians. It is definitely worth coming for sunset! (I got up at sunrise also, but it was too foggy to see much). The stargazing is also ample. We also really enjoyed walking around the village of Al Hamra in the valley below.

This wasn't a problem per se, but a note to prospective guests that the hotel is a long drive up a steep-ish, unpaved mountain road. You could I suppose do it without a 4x4, but for comfort (and so your car isn't scraping along the rocks and craters in the road) I highly recommend renting a 4x4. The reward at the end of this long dirt road is this gorgeous hotel, though, so it's well-worth it! The hotel uses small individual soaps; it would be more environmentally friendly if they used refillable ones. The gorgeous pool closes a bit ridiculously early at 7 pm, inexplicably.

It was a privilege to stay in this unique "eco-lux hotel" set at 1,450 meters above sea level on a slope of Jebel Shams. A 4x4 is necessary to reach this destination. From Al Hamra, there are frequent signs leading you to and up the 8km winding road. Each room is individually placed to optimize views and privacy. The walkways between buildings are very stable with a secure walking surface and handrails on either side. Changes in elevation are moderated across the distance with only a few steps at a time. The staff was professional and gracious. Dinner and breakfast were delicious buffet meals. The room was well-designed and had the desired upscale amenities. Of course, our favorite feature was the floor to ceiling windows and the balcony which ran across the front of the room and looked out on that amazing view. We enjoyed the views every moment of our stay.... literally from the moment we arrived till sunset, then from sunrise to checkout. We're already looking forward to a repeat visit someday soon!

Several of the floor tiles were broken and/or popping up in our room. No doubt this was due to a bit of settling of the unit. This small maintenance issue was our only complaint and had no impact on our experience at this absolutely amazing place!

Obviously the views are fantastic! The room with balcony, the pool, and the restaurant are exactly what you'd expect. Luckily we had a taxi arranged from the bottom of the hill (we left our rental car there) because the road that goes up to the hotel is quite steep and not paved at all (about 20min, 7.5km). We only stayed one night to rest and relax so really enjoyed it.

You can't really go anywhere/do anything from there unless you have a 4x4 or book an excursion with them.

The name says it all—these bungalows sit high above Al Hamra, and the view is absolutely stunning. The bungalows are well-equipped, and the bathroom with a bathtub overlooking the scenery is a real highlight. We also enjoyed dinner at the on-site restaurant, which isn’t included in the stay but was excellent. All in all, it was a lovely experience, and we only wish we could have stayed a second night!
