The location suited our own personal needs for travelling by car in Whanganui, but generally too far to walk to facilities like cafes, restaurants, etc. Parking good. An older style of timber construction, but room very comfortable. Had spare bedroom we didn't use. Small practical kitchenette.

Ensuite bathroom area was rather small, and a tight squeeze. But worked OK. I always struggle with the TV remotes (2), and figuring out how to get from SKY back to Ch 1,2,3. No instructions for this. Outdoor timber steps could be slippery in wet weather. Not sure if has wheelchair access, (though not required by us).

Run to international standards with exception to little jug of milk not being replaced when the room is serviced. The road is busy/noisy which as a city dweller you can do without when being away but location is good to go to/fro locally by car. The rooms are fresh, immaculate, spacious & comfortable. You can tell the team here take a lot of pride in the upkeep of their establishment.

This hotel is exceptionally well run. The experience from check-in to check-out was prompt and professional. The room was serviced each day with clean towels. We were impressed with the abundant hot water with high pressure in the shower, and the cleanliness of the rooms was exceptional. Would recommend this as a place to stay.

Had everything we needed, it was very tidy and clean. Happy there were electric blankets. Beds were comfy and the blankets were nice and warm. Perfect size for a small group.

The heater took forever to heat the room, because it was freezing. No spare toilet paper the first day. I think the shower head could do with a clean, as water came out all different angles.

Location is very handy to city centre and easy to find. Good parking and easy access to room. Lovely covered deck with outdoor chairs. The room was clean and everything worked well. We did not try the spa pool. They were very helpful and prompt when we asked to extend our stay.

The electric jug had been used as a teapot and we had to clean it out.

The receptionist was super helpful and friendly. The room is very spacious and has an electric warmer under the bed.

Is next to the road and can hear the traffic.

An excellent stay and was there for 11 nights. Room was comfy with really good bed and shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's quiet at night despite being on a main road.

Convenient location to ride the bike trails and very close to the CBD and shopping area. Able to safely store and lock our bikes on the undercover porch. Small kitchen with a microwave and a separate double hotplate was a bonus. Lovely Vista of the setting sun. Able to sit on the porch in the sun after a long day riding. Room was clean and tidy. Quiet neighbours. Didn't hear the traffic at night even though on a main road. Lots of room for 2 and used the bedroom with single beds as luggage storage and dressing area. Good car parking. Easy to book and friendly staff. This was a last minute booking as our original trip to the Waikato was cancelled due to bad weather. This room was the last available room in Whanganui on what turned out to be Vintage Weekend. Would stay again. I was pleasantly surprised with this accommodation. Thank you.

No aircon, but thankfully, there was a fan in the room. It was very hot when we stayed and we were very hot and sweaty after bike riding all day. No swimming pool - It would have been nice to take a dip in a pool after a long day cycling. Not sure if the spa was working as we didn't ask. Direct access to rooms is via external stairs. We road our bikes up the side path and then pushed them along the porch and secured them outside our room. Also used the side path to unload the car to avoid going up and down the stairs. All good in the end. Some very, very minor inconveniences and overall a lovely motel.

We wanted a bed in a motel that was close to our meeting place. This motel met all our expectations.

having to carry our bags etc up steps to the room from the car park, but I knew that in advance.

The motel was very clean and comfortable. It is close to city center and shops. Easy to find coming from Auckland

The only thing of a minor nature, was no salt and pepper for the kitchen.......
