Staff were super friendly and good communication prior to arrival. The room had everything we needed and the bed was really comfortable. Parking is available in the Windsor College Car park for 12.60 per day via Ringo. Just a couple of minutes from the pub. This is standard pricing in Windsor. The app was convenient as you could re-start parking sessions via the app with no need to go to the car park. The rooms are situated by the pub garden with a short walk through the town to main Windsor or Great Windsor Park in the opposite direction. The pub had good music 5-7 on Sunday evening. We had everything we needed for our stay. Lots of restaurants or places for breakfast within walking distance. The pub garden closed at 10pm so we were not disturbed by any noise and we had our own entrance, seperate to the main pub. Would recommend The Trooper. Main Windsor gets very busy and being a short walk away was good for us.

Nothing, this was nice pub accommodation.

The place is at walking distance from the train station but far enough from the center to be a little quieter. The Pub is very nice and traditional. They have many options of beer on draft including a few casks. Very nice, affordable beers. The rooms are accessible from a door just aside the main entrance of the pub which is a plus. Nice cozy room with a rustic touch, bricks showing on the wall, cozy modern toilet. Staff were all very nice

Only note is about the noise. The rooms are just above the pub and the noise travel quite a lot. That last till 11pm when the pub closes which worked out well with our sleeping habit.

Very handy for central Windsor but away from all the tourists. About 10 min walk to the castle. Small but spotless double room on top floor. Staff very friendly. Best place in town for breakfast is 5 mins walk away (Millar’s, St Leonard’s Road). College car park was very nearby but tricky to find a spot on a Saturday afternoon. Only had to wait for 10mins for a spot though, and from then on it was plain sailing using the RingGo app (12.80 a day, 9am to 9pm, and you can renew the next day from the comfort of your bed - brilliant!)

Room overlooks the beer garden which can be quite noisy at weekends until about 10pm when it is closed. Double glazing not much help because the room was very warm in July and we had to have the window open, even with the pedestal fan on full blast)

Really friendly staff at the pub, great start as I arrived on my own with 2 young children. Beautiful rooms, lovely bedding & towels Bathroom spotless & modern. An absolute delight of a place. We booked a table for pasta night in the bar and weren’t disappointed, kitchen staff were very friendly & helpful. Food was great & well priced £42 2adults,2children. Well worth trying! Check out was easy - just leave the key! We stayed the night before visiting legoland & thoroughly enjoyed our trip. Would recommend & definitely stay again. Also it was the hottest week so far this year & the fan was needed & so very thoughtful.

Nothing the 2 staircases were an adventure to small children 😆

The Trooper is located in a quiet residential area and, even though the rooms are above the pub, there is no noise after a certain time at night and, even prior to that, the noise is minimal. Throughout the night and into the morning, road noise is virtually non existent. Staff are really friendly. The rooms are quite big, big bed which I found so comfortable. The room was clean, a few marks on the wall or woodwork should not put anyone off this accommodation. Bathroom was adequate in size and requirements. The location is great, a direct walk to the centre of Windsor takes 5 to 10 minutes. Great value for money and perfect for exploring Windsor.

For anyone with mobility issues, there are stairs to negotiate to access rooms. Other than that...no negative comments

The accommodations are lovely and cute. We rented units 7&8, which are one above the other, and have an adjoining entry. This was perfect for our family as we had separate spaces but were still together. All staff we met were remarkable! We were able to store our luggage easily after 11 am. The staff even moved our luggage to our rooms when they became available - a thoughtful and kind gesture. The food available and the pub garden area were lovely to enjoy. *note the pub garden closes promptly at 10pm - there will be laughter and conversation until 10pm - it is amazing ambiance

Fantastic value for money. Very close to the town centre and just a 10 minute walk to Windsor Castle. Restaurant's next door. The pub was busy and had a live band which finished at 7pm, it was a great atmosphere. The guy that checked me in was very friendly and explained everything to me. The room was very clean, had a comfy double bed, small but modern, clean shower room with a nice shower and lots of hot water. Would definitely stay here again.

The parking was the only slight issue. It was difficult to find a space when we arrived early evening on a Sunday but by 9pm there were lots of spaces outside.

Really lovely, quirky spot. Honestly, I can't fault it. The staff were lovely and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed here for a family trip to see Windsor & visit legoland. The location was great. I would describe the pub as a busy spot, people always coming and going, a nice crowd, friends meeting up for a pint and a bite to eat. Really good vibe. Shuts down at 10 / 10.30, so once the crowd moves on, it's pretty quiet. The rooms are really quirky and clean. The bed was comfty. We all slept pretty well. We really enjoyed our stay here. Pizza van and coffee van were an added bonus, and right up the street is some great cafes / restaurants for breakfast or dinner. We had a hire car and found street parking easy. We were out and about most days, so by the time we got home, it was lovely to drop the bags and have a pint or a wander up the street. Really enjoyed it here.

I've no bad reviews. We all really like it here.

The staff in the pub were very friendly and helpful, a kind young man helped us with our luggage. The ground floor rooms that we'd booked were adjacent to the beer garden. They were situated in a different building, and were extremely cosy, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Everything was fine, there was a good supply of tea and coffee making provisions. The toiletries in the bathroom were lovely. The towels were soft and fluffy.

The only thing that wasn't great was the sound on the tv, the picture was very good but the sound wasn't clear.

The staff were so friendly and helpful and the pub is in a great location. The accommodation was lovely and clean, the rooms are basic but perfect for an overnight.

This is not something to dislike but more something to be aware of - a lot of the rooms are at the back of a busy beer garden, it is noisy until 10pm and then in fairness to the staff the beer garden closes so all the customers move inside but because of where the rooms are located you can hear the staff clearing up the bar until late. As I said not an issue for us but some people may feel differently
