I got an upgrade at no additional cost (from a hostel room without private bathroom to a standard single occupancy room) which was a pleasant surprise as I turned out to be worn out when I reached the destination. The breakfast was good and absolutely worth the money. The location of the rooms on the basement level was not a problem in my opinion. The single room had a tea kettle, small fridge and everything needed. There are also separate kitchen facilities and a nice coffee machine in the lobby. Bed linen, towels and bathroom were neat and tidy, no complaints! I will save this place for future trips.

Excellent stay again at Toivola, hospitality and staff absolutely wonderful. They even let me dry my motorcycling gear in their drying room aftet artiving through pouring rain. The hostel rooms are an excellent budget option if you don't mind going a few meters across the hall to your own private bathroom. Otherwise they are part of the same building Hotel Toivola with the same great services.

Nice and clean, the room was big and comfortable. Free coffee and tea all day long and good kitchen.

It takes around 20-30 min to the center and the staff couldn’t really help us with organizing activities. Also men and women can’t go to the sauna together and only during short slots every day.

The compact room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. Despite the shared bathroom, it was clean and well organized. Positioned in a residential neighborhood, but with easy access to the city center.

Really liked the sauna and kitchen facilities. Nice enough room too. Hotel was nice enough to look after my stuff while I went sight seeing. Liked that they put chocolate on the pillows

Clean accomodation and facilities.

We were minutes past the check out time and there was in fact someone waiting at our door hurrying us up to leave which wasn't a pleasant experience. Also, the hostel rooms are located in the basement.

Very good hostel with friendly staff and good localisation when you from to the train station. Full equipped kitchen and clean common areas.

Dark and quiet, perfect for a summer night in the north. Even sauna available for use.

If something, the air conditioning in the room could have been a bit better.

We just stayed here for one night. As a halfway station from Levi to Helsinki, the location is good. Staffs are friendly. I thought that the bathroom was ensuit, obviously I didn't check carefully. Anyways, there was a bathroom reserved for the booked room and it's a few steps away from the room. Choose carefully if you mind about this.
