We booked a room for just 1 night as a little romantic getaway during our holiday in Portugal. Upon arrival the peaceful area in which the hotel is located really soaks you into an relaxing mood. We were welcomed by friendly staff and even tho we arrived a little early, they made sure that our room was clean and ready for us. The room is very clean, nicely decorated and breaths the peaceful environment of the area. The spa facilities are great, we were lucky to have them all to ourselfs. There is an indoor pool, turkish steam sauna, jacuzzi and sauna. Right outside the pool area is enough space to soak up the sun on one of the chairs, a bar and a children playground. The hotel offers a library, pooltable, restaurant, roomservice, minibar, lounge area and enough activities which can be booked as an extra for your stay. Breakfast is included in each booking. Our overall experience is that this was the perfect getaway to really enjoy the peace and eachother.

The hotel was very nice all round and great value. The room was superb and had great views over the river in the distance and was very clean. The scenery outside was fantastic and the hotel situated in a very quiet and tranquil location in it's woodland retreat. The breakfast was wonderful and covers everybody's needs to start the day. If I had a negative about the hotel it would be the gym which needs updating with new equipment that actually works and doesn't fall to bits or is in bits and not functional. I did a session on arriving on the first day and it wasn't ideal. Overall very happy and we will return next year. Thumbs up

Gym needs new equipment and a complete revamp.

Good breakfast, with some options to choose between (fruit, pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereals, different types of bread and jam). The spa was really good, the hotel has also great surroundings to go for a walk with kids or with the partner.

The room was comfortable, the only problem was that the internet connection was really low, practically impossible to use. The place is very quiet. Also, maybe it would be good to have like a bar inside the hotel to have some snacks instead of only having the restaurant. The restaurant itself is OK, but nothing special considering the prices of the meals.

The location is rural !! Beautiful and peaceful in the mountains with a forest and river view. The breakfast was not bad but could do with a few more options. The hotel was exceptionally clean the staff work very hard to ensure all areas are immaculate.

Lovely quiet location in a valley, car essential to get there. Very quiet when we stayed and no one using the facilities. The steam room, pool and jacuzzi are all very good. Good room size. Large bed and very comfortable, also enough big pillows. The staff spoke good English. Nice breakfast with enough choice and hubby loved the pancake maker. Restaurant food nice but felt a little expensive for a limit choice. No other Restaurant near by.

I was disappointed that there was no coffee machine in the room and we booked a premium room. The spa treatments aren't cheap, they are ok but we've had far better for cheaper.

Friendly staff and great rooms. The pool was exceptional and the kids area was good as well. Breakfast was good as expected, and the trails nearby were very scenic.

Restaurant staff was prone to errors, and kitchen couldnt handle a full occupation, with several mistakes and delayed orders.The swimming cap wasnt enforced as it should, especially for adults.

We stayed in one of the rooms with a hot tub in the balcony wich was the amazing feature of our stay. Alongside with that the room was pretty clean, comfy and really spacious. The facilities were great. The hotel is located in a really quite (almost isolated) place, being perfect to rest. We enjoyed the fact that you have access to the interior pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Having a pool table that you can freely use in the bar area was also a nice perk. We tried the restaurant wich was a pleasant surprise serving a good amount of really tasty food and the staff there were really kind like their colleagues from the front-desk. The breakfast was good with a lot of food options.

The only bad thing that I can point out is the fact that we didn't had phone signal but that is not the hotel's fault and giving the fact that our goal was to relax that didn't matter

The property itself was great, however i was a bit unluckily as there was a family with kids staying and they were very loud at the pool

Snack bar food is overpriced. Turkish bath is not working.
