I'm originally from the area and traveled alone to Marvels on the Creek on a somber trip. I was hoping for a beautiful hideaway spot to tuck away in, but I received so much more! Debbie is such a warm, nurturing, and genuine soul, filled with wonderful conversation and stories. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt safe and she took care of me as if I was her own family. It stormed pretty badly one night while I was driving back, and as I drove up the drive, relief flooded over me when I saw the lights at Marvel were on and the garage door was up and waiting for me to dash inside without getting soaked. Every morning, Debbie was up and bustling around tending to things and making breakfast for me. The sounds of home fill the air, the views are absolute perfection, and words just can't describe the ambience of Debbie. Marvels on the Creek is a perfect representation of the Eastern Shore that I grew up on and the people and communities who make it home <3

Everything about Marvels was excellent. Debby is a wonderful host, she makes lovely breakfasts every morning, the location on the creek is lovely (although we were not in a position of enjoying with snow and ice on the ground), and the facility is interesting and well maintained. We also very much enjoyed exploring the Eastern Shore in Maryland and its history.

There is really very little to dislike about Marvels on the Creek. The one downside might be for people who want to be in the middle of the action Marvels is in a quiet community with limited dining options (although we had good meals in Cambridge and environs).

What a great find! The location was private and the surroundings were lovely. Hospitality and the food was top notch. We couldn't have picked better hosts. Even their neighbors were fantastic. The location is within walking distance to a local restaurant and tiki bar right on the water. We enjoyed watching the boats and seeing the wildlife.

There was nothing at this location or the surrounding area that was bad. We loved it all.

Marvels on The Creek is just that. A marvel! My husband and I recently stayed there for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and it could not have been more pleasant. From the moment we arrived Alan and Debbie made us feel right at home. Our suite overlooking the creek was spacious and the view was beautiful. We enjoyed having coffee every morning sitting on our balcony, and evenings on the dock watching the sunset and all the birds and wildlife. Debbie is not only a wonderful hostess who served delicious huge breakfasts, but also very friendly and pleasant. And the close proximity to Easton, St. Michaels, Cambridge etc. made it an ideal yet very quiet and secluded location. Simply breathtaking! Highly recommend!

I can honestly say Marvel’s on the Creek is the best stay we’ve ever had. The house is amazing and Debbie was the most accommodating, kind and courteous lady I have ever come across. Everything was perfect and breakfast was outstanding. We were racing a triathlon and she was up at 3am to make sure we had food and coffee before we set off. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.

Our stay was lovely, easily the highlight of the year. Breakfast was truly exceptional, the grounds were beautiful, and we were able to relax for what felt like the first time all year. Highly recommend Suicide Bridge Restaurant across the river as we had the best fish we've ever eaten. Debbie, the host, was so delightful and and excellent conversationalist, we will definitely be coming back!

We loved everything about this bed and breakfast. Debbie was warm, friendly and a great storyteller. She immediately made us feel at home. She told us about a great restaurant for dinner. The room was huge with a king-sized bed, sitting area, and water closet. Breakfast was so delicious. Debbie was the consummate hostess. We will return soon.

Beautiful and tranquil waterfront property… truly a slice of heaven! Debbie is such a warm and welcoming hostess… she provides both a delicious and very fulfilling breakfast, and also great conversation. My dog was welcomed as well. Everything exceeded my expectations. Will definitely stay here again! Kathy and Willow (the pup).

I loved the water and the B&B grounds; egrets and great blue heron; the outdoor hot tub; the BIG delicious breakfast with sweet and savory options; Debbie (host) - welcoming, personable, and knowledgeable; our room and comfortable bed; the hammock; the swing; the quiet and complete darkness at night; the rooster; the proximity to Easton, St. Michaels, Cambridge; relaxed atmosphere; very clean and fresh; availability of kayaks (but did not have a chance to use them this trip). The property is off the beaten path, but the historic towns and surrounding area are very accessible.

Phone reception was fine, but the wifi is not great - just something to know. That did not bother us. To me, it is the kind of place to unplug. We had no trouble accessing the internet with data.

This was what a bed and breakfast stay should be like. The property is spotless, the location on the water is lovely, the hot tub was delicious, the shower was great, and breakfast (including homemade lemon bread) was perfect. Ample towels and crisp, soft sheets. Most of all, Debby is a warm and responsive host who loves people and makes her guests feel pampered yet at home.
