We had a lovely big room looking out over the quiet road in front the hotel. It had a good selection of coffee and teas plus biscuits etc. The breakfast in the cellar was good and the staff were friendly. We got a free car space although I am not sure if they have enough for every room of this small hotel (maybe 7 spaces?) but we arrived early. The WIFI was good and let us listen to Radio Caroline's internet streaming from their ship off the Essex coast. Excellent location for exploring the old town and the sea shore. We also found the excellent small pub nearby, the Veerev Olu, run by a Rolling Stones fan who stocks some ok beers.

Absolutely wonderful location. Very clean. I had the room with a sauna, which was huge with lots of little extra's. Really enjoyed being able to come back in the afternoon to have my daily dry cider. Cosy feeling throughout. Very handy to have the breakfast buffet included in the mornings. Whilst it is older style accommodation, it has great atmosphere.

I actually stayed here for 3 nights and stayed elsewhere for another 6 days. Whilst I preferred this property to the other one, it doesn't have washing facilities and I needed that as I was in Parnu for a BJJ camp, needing to wash everyday. I prefer a firm mattress and the mattress was very soft.

The hotel itself is very nice, it is right in the centre of the town, close to all the shops and restaurants. The room was very spacious, the bed was big and comfortable, there was a mini-fridge (something I love to have in hotels in summer) and there were options for tea and even some chocolates. The bathroom was good, and so was the shower. There was air conditioning. The staff were very kind and helpful and there is a garden area where you can have a drink.

The breakfast was a bit of a let down, I thought there was very little variety with regard to sweet options, and not much choice for fresh fruit. The food was all very tasty, just needed more variety in some areas, It is a bit of a walk to the beach area (about 20-25mins), but as both the town and beach are separate, it is difficult to be in both places at once, so not much you can do about that, just to let people be aware. My wife said the decor in the room is too old fashioned and they need to become more modern, but I liked it, so, look at the photos I posted with this review and judge for yourselves.

Location, location, location! I liked the crown molding, the extra touches, the cleanliness, the staff, the quietness. The salon was open too. Conveniently located. The breakfast was nice too. Always well attended and attended to.

Would have liked more going on- an open restaurant was hoping for some karaoke which is only on certain lights so I missed it. Really wanted a NATO shot! I really have no true complaints- I just wished I had stayed longer!

The room had everything you could think of - hair dryer, extra toothbrush, coffee machine, toaster... You name it - they have it. Also, the room looked very nice and comfy, like in an old mansion. Great location, right in the city centre. Amazing staff - they provided breakfast an hour before scheduled time in order to accommodate my early check-out.

There is a bar next door and not very good sound insulation. Problematic for light sleepers.

Everything from the staff, to the reception and the room was exceptional. I can tell the staff made an effort to make sure my stay was as comfortable and "homey" as possible. The room and furniture was decorated in this gorgeous old-time style. It's not an acquired taste either, I can tell that future customers will definitely like the overall design as well. As is my experience with previous hotels, the water quality could be better, but not with this one. I refilled my water bottle quite a few times here. It's definitely drinkable. As for the bathroom and shower, 5/5 experience. There were multiple clean towels, and the showerhead made it feel like you were in Dubai :) There wasn't any branded shampoo or shower gel though, but there was a dispenser with, as far as I can tell, a multi-purpose soap that can be used for your hair and body. The TV was BIIG. It made me feel like I was in a movie theatre. It has Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and several other content platforms. I went to the store later on to buy some instant coffee, but later on, I noticed that the hotel already had some. I thought there was no sugar, but there was. It was in a small cup with the lid on it. There was also a coffee machine and some coffee powder, so I could've brewed some as well. If you need an affordable stay that will not let you down, this is the one. Overall, 10/10 experience.

Pillow was a bit large, but that's fine because I brought my own. There also could've been a stove, but that was also fine, because I managed with the microwave that was in the room. However, for 42 euros, the stay had everything you'd need for the night.

Nothing to complain about. The real bonus factor for me was the coffee maker + supplies for it. Got my thermos filled for a day on the road, most excellent! Location is very centric though maybe I would've liked the parking to be a little more ... private?

No breakfast. I understand it coz I visited in the off-season but still it was highlighted in several reviews. Would've been nice to test it out but it is what it is.

We had a nice stay here. The location is excellent - right in the middle of the Old Town. There is a good shower and comfortable beds. In the room they provide chocolate, biscuits, toothpaste, toothbrushes, playing cards, seeing kit and even a condom. There is a microwave and refrigerator. There are comfortable, homey sitting rooms. The breakfast is very good. Particularly noteworthy is the selection of many different fish.

It didn't affect us but for others: Be aware that if you want to get an early start you will have to skip breakfast as it doesn't start until 9:00. Also be aware that the hotel is not accessible at all. There are many stairs including up from the sidewalk to the entrance.

We decided to stay another night and this was quickly arranged by the hotel. Both rooms we stayed in were luxurious, unique, clean and well equipped with aircon. The upstairs room even more so. Hotel lobby, terrace and breakfast/pub room were very cozy too. The breakfast was plentiful and we were given some allergenic free oatmeals when asked. Great location, for dog owners too. Pet fee was reasonable 5€ and parking was free.

We loved the quiet and relaxed mood of the hotel. Heads up though, the hotel arranges karaoke nights every wednesdays and fridays. On our stay the terrace was very busy with people singing on wednesday. The singing stopped around 23pm and serving continued inside the pub (cellar floor) so some life could be heard to our 1st floor room. This didn’t keep us up, but for light sleepers this could be a problem.

The location is very central and the double room was nicely spacious. Super friendly and attentive staff!!! The whole atmosphere of the building is as seen on the photos, definitely a bit quirky :) The room was equipped with numerous small extras like a manicure set, emergency toothbrushes and toothpaste, some card games, sewing kit, earplugs, shoe polish etc. etc. It really felt like Alex Maja tried to do everything in their power to make the guests feel comfortable and welcome. Breakfast was nice (apart from the juice) with ample choice for any taste.

The breakfast juices seemed to have been made from some cheap and quite horrible juice concentrate, but this was really the only downside.
