Location was quiet, tucked into the back of the lot away from the road. Just off the highway. Very nice comfortable hotel. Good amenities available for use. Nice design of the room, liked the outdoor space and library room. No issue with the water pressure or temperature. Had water refilling station.

Value of the reservation is diminished by not providing free breakfast or free parking. Parking was $20 per night at the time of my stay. I didn't purchase the breakfast but had limited sandwiches and pastries. Room was soundproof on the same floor but can easily hear stomping and running above you and the light fixture will rattle. I'm not sure if pet friendly rooms are separate or are also used by those without pets, but my bed did smell of wet dog. Not the sheets, but the smell of dogs was in the carpet, mattress, etc.

We stayed at The Ameswell for three nights while in town for a wedding and to visit friends, and it was a great experience from start to finish. The location was excellent—within easy driving distance of Palo Alto, Woodside, Cupertino, Milpitas, and more. The room was clean, spacious, and family-friendly, with comfy beds, a handy coffee/tea bar, robes, and lots of storage and surfaces for our things. Our 4-year-old loved exploring the library with games, and we enjoyed relaxing by the fireplace in the cozy lounge area. The heated pool was nice, though a bit cool on a chilly day, and the outdoor lawn games and bar looked like fun for warmer weather. The restaurant offered a solid menu with a kids' section (though a bit pricey), and the café was a great quick option. We especially appreciated the staff—always friendly and accommodating. They loaned us umbrellas and provided extra items like an iron and steamer when requested, and they allowed us a late check-out, which was a huge help. A sweet touch at check-out was letting our son choose a small toy from their treasure chest, which really made his day. Parking was $20/night with unlimited in-and-out access, and EV charging on-site was very convenient. The vibe throughout the hotel was lively but never overwhelming—just a really comfortable and thoughtful place that worked well for our family. We'd definitely stay again!

They didn't have room service, but they did offer take-out orders from their restaurant that you could take back to your room, which worked well for us.

Location was excellent. Easy on, easy off the 101 but not so close that you could hear the traffic. The room was stylish with good A/C, and the bed was very comfortable. I appreciated having a hot water pot that hadn't been used to make coffee, which meant my tea didn't taste like coffee grounds. The bar had a great vibe and the food was excellent. I enjoyed the outdoor space, thought I was disappointed that the AirStream wasn't opened. I appreciated having free WiFi without having to pay a ridiculous resort fee.

The upsell for late checkout was a bit much (just offer it for free if it's available), and $20 for parking seemed excessive.

Everything was good, the room was perfect, the bathroom was beautiful and big. The whole hotel was just beautiful.

It was our last day in California after traveling for 10 days and we didn’t want to go anywhere for new years so we decided to go to the restaurant they have and it was the most horrible experience I ever had. We stayed for Christmas in a 3 star hotel near Yosemite and the service at the restaurant was much better than here and the food too. Horrible food and horrible service. The waitress didn’t even know how the New years special menu worked and she couldn’t explain to us, she brought an open bottle of wine and she just placed it on our table. We got two plates with two raw looking steaks and our desserts never came without silverware and napkins. The worst New Year’s dinner ever.

Room was comfortable and clean, with plenty of pillows on the bed, good climate control, and curtains that weren't blackout but were still pretty good at blocking light. My room was quiet, despite not being in the best location for that. (See below.) Bathroom felt well-appointed. I didn't use the extra amenities like the mini-fridge or safe, and didn't get a chance to check out the pool or gym, but I would've liked to use those and gladly would in the future. The lounge area was nice and comfortable. Easy access to freeway. I ordered a latte in the morning and that was good. It felt like a good value for the area.

Location wasn't very walkable. Parking should be included for overnight guests here. The front desk staff were friendly but not amazingly knowledgeable; I had requested a room in a quiet location and upon check-in I asked about that and the staff member said he didn't have a map and didn't know where my assigned room was located but that I could come back down to request a new room if I got there and it wasn't good enough. It was in the middle of a hallway on the second floor so I don't think they had factored in my request in assigning that room.

I liked everything about the hotel very very nice ! Will be staying here again and I would recommend it !

You have to pay for parking that’s a bummer

We liked the room. The bed was comfortable although a top sheet would have been nice instead of just a comforter. The room was quiet and we enjoyed haveing the 12:00 check out.

The food was disappointing. We ordered two drinks and two appetizers from the airstream as well as brussel sprouts and a flatbread pizza. The drinks were expensive but good. The appetizers came after my husband went up and asked about them since our food from the restaurant had arrived but not the skewers from outside. Apparently he hadn't seen the ticket.???? The brussel sprouts were good but the flat bread was cold and since we were needing to leave for a concert we elected to not send it back.

The hotel was nice and close to shoreline amphitheater.

Restaurant food was fantastic, it seemed difficult for the restaurant staff to find seating for us when there were more empty tables than full ones. We sat down and were told table was reserved even though there were several other open tables adjacent. This seemed to throw staff off. Eventually they did figure something out for us and the waitress was great. We forgot a special insulated bag in room fridge and hotel did get job notifying us but the cost to mail back was insane ($70) for mailing something back in the same state 2 hours away is price gouging. Crazy. We told them to not worry about it as the bag only cost $4.

Nice clean hotel, quiet rooms. The staff was kindly enough to offer us a complimentary parking as we were staying for 5 nights, they also switched room for us with no fuss at all when we let them know the first room we checked into had unpleasant drain smell.

Quite a bit of distance traveling to San Francisco(easily 40 mins plus one way), but easy to find and quick to get onto state highway. Shower pressure was quite low, would have lovely a better water pressure.

Clean, fresh and new property in the area. Much better than many of the older properties in the bay that are like motel with a face-lift in similar price range. Staff were friendly and the chat concierge support was super helpful and easy to use. Love it.

It's a bit further from restaurants and grocery. The restaurant and bar in the hotel has good but limited choices,especially during off hours. (No room service) so having a car is more convenient if one cares about having choices of food at odd times 😅
