It’s very nice family hotel. Food : nice breakfast and very nice lunch and dinners, price more low like another restaurant, no need to think about dinner , just booked table to you. Room is very clean and light with a good sea view. We are was been with daughter but we are booker only room for the two adults. For us changed room with additional bed and without additional price . It was beed perfectly for us. Hotel has swimming pool very clean , nice to swim when the weather too hot . Conclusion it’s very nice hotel with friendly staff, like your friends

The hotel has a good location, close to the beach and the harbour where boats leave for the bay. The room was clean, a little small in size for two adults and one child, but it was sufficient for us. The garden with restaurant and pool were nice too. What I would like to highlight is the receptionist who was helpful with everything, friendly and even the communication before arrival was great. I would even give the gentleman 20 stars! :)

I take a point off for the breakfast, which was average, I would have appreciated more food to choose from. It is fine for one or two mornings, but if I were to stay in the hotel for a whole week, I would probably prefer to buy breakfast elsewhere.

This hotel is a gem! We had the family room with the amazing balcony and view. It is every bit as beautiful, if not more, than the photos. The room is so clean and spacious, comfy beds. Welcoming staff, refreshing, clean pool, quiet location, fabulous restaurant which caters so well to any allergies. Very short walk to the lovely town. The road to Cala Gonone has a lot of twists and turns, but once you reach the hotel you can leave the car and explore the small town on foot. If you go to Cala Luna make sure to take a beach umbrella with you.

Our stay at Hotel La Playa was great! From the moment you enter the hotel, you feel that friendly and welcoming energy. The place is clean, bright, comfortable, colourful. We had a family room overlooking the town and the sea. We enjoyed the terrace with a view very much! We had breakfast and dinner which I rate number one! Personnel smiling, helpful, we had the feeling that they are here for us to feel like at home. Only up to 10 minutes from the beach. Parking at the hotel. I hope to come here again.

We loved staying at La Playa. The staff were always helpful and kind and organised a packed lunch for us the day we did a boat trip along the Gulf of Orosei. The room was comfortable and we had a lovely view over the pool which was also a great spot to cool off. In a good location 5 minute walk to the main part of town while still being in a quiet spot. The breakfast was just what we liked, eggs, veggies, fruit, cheese and meats and pastries etc. would love to stay again! The restaurant at the hotel Was also amazing and we ate their 2 nights - everything that came out looked delicious.

The shower in our bathroom’s doors kept falling off but it wasn’t a big deal and didn’t bother us too much.

It's a great hotel for this lower price category, one of the best we have visited in Sardinia. Everything an active traveler needs. Comfortable beds and bathroom, tons of towels, great breakfast with variety of fresh fruit, good coffee and lovely staff. The pool area was lovely even though it was still a bit cold to try the pool itself.

The only problem is that there is a travel agency within the building organising tours that start early in the morning. Probably lot of attendees stay in the hotel and wake up super early for their tour which caused a constant 30min of door smashing and loud talking in the corridor at 5:30-6 am each morning. The door is not soundproof at all so it would be a good idea to let the agency warn their clients about this. Oh and we could use the 'dont disturb' door sign, as we didnt want the room service and were (not pleasantly) surprised there was one. Would at least tide up my personal stuff better, if i had the idea.

I expected a simple hotel slightly out of the center. It was wonderful, with a pool, gardens with dining, AC, And the staff were helpful, courteous, and always smiling. They could not have been nicer. Good breakfast. Easy parking onstreet. And tremendous rapport of quality and price -great quality, good price. Quiet and away from the din of the port. Good restaurant with local dishes.

I'm getting old for stairs but my room was only two flights.

The location of the hotel is perfect, only 5 mins walk away from all the shops and restaurants etc. Slightly uphill gradient when getting back to the hotel for those wondering. The hotel is nice. Rooms are basic, clinical as opposed to luxurious. Bathrooms are very clean. The breakfast was European continental. I imagine it would be lovely in season with the swimming pool open and perhaps more of a choice at breakfast for a demanding crowd. Staff were very friendly - no complaints.

The swimming pool was closed but then again I visited off season so to be expected. There are developments being constructed around the hotel - if you're conscious of noise bear this in mind, but it's not the hotel's fault. The breakfast was minimal- suited us fine but no hot food was offered. Eggs or toast would have been nice. The room is basic but spotless and the walls are very thin - we could hear a man in a room above us snoring all night.

I had a lovely 6 nights at Hotel La Playa. The hotel is very conveniently situated from the centre of Cala Gonone, about 5 mins walk to the water front. The staff were lovely - my coach was late arriving and they stayed late to check me in. They also helped me arrange a taxi. The restaurant attached to the hotel is also a great choice for food and drinks. Delicious and very reasonably priced.

Pleasant pool area but we did not have time to use it. Nice to have the restaurant on site for dinner. Quick walk into the main part of town or the harbor. Free, first come parking nearby on some dirt off the street. Having our own small balcony was nice as a place to rest and hang dry clothes from the beach.

Sort of dated interior. Really cold color light could easily be changed to make it feel warmer. Should provide a luggage rack. Was just missing those “nice to haves” in a lot of factors that made you miss them. Maybe the rooms facing the sea are nicer - unsure. Noise from the hallway does travel into the rooms, but people seemed to be aware and quiet when we were there.
