Hotel Internationale in Ancona. While the journey up the winding road is a challenge at first, by the 2nd day we were already experts… and the view was overlooking the beautiful landscape all around. The dining was superb, and the owner and staff went overboard to make sure we had the best stay possible. As an example, our “host owner” often stopped by our table to engage in conversation and he would bring a bottle of wine to give us. It was difficult to leave but we were only halfway through our 30-day journey around Italy. Hotel Palace Verona – We stayed for 5 nights and traveled locally each day for day trips nearby. Our favorite was Lake Garda…this very large lake had enough gone on for us to visit there multiple times. We took the train to Venice for one day and, although we had been there on a prior trip, we wished we had more time to spend there. It is always a fun place to spend at least one day.

Very nice hotel in a superb location. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the room was comfortable and the included breakfast nice. Amazing views from the rooms and terrace, and the free shuttle to/from the beach a great added bonus! Worth mentioning the beautiful beaches were just a walk away.

The soundproofing between rooms could be better. It was very quiet our first few days there but as the hotel filled up we could hear our neighbors quite a bit.

We were on our way from Volos (Greece) to Reading (England) and enjoyed a great stop over at Portonovo in Hotel Internazionale located some 25 min. driving from Ancona port. We had disembarked from Igoumenitsa. Before pursuing on a further two long days of driving, we enjoyed our stay at a wonderful hotel in the Riviera di Conero enjoying gorgeous views over Portonovo Bay and the Adriatic. Hotel Internazionale location, its architecture, its garden, room decoration but above all its wonderful owners, management and hotel staff deserve all our warm congratulations for their professionalism, care and attention to detail. Dinner at the hotel was another treat. We will definitely come back on our next trip.

Everything was perfect.

The view is amazing. Room was very clear comfy and of good size, very clean. Staff at the reception and restaurant during breakfast and dinner were very friendly. The restaurant outside (covered terrace) has an amazing view.

Well, it seemed the restaurant is quite popular and in particular at dinner, rather towards the fancy side. In order to get to the reception or enter the hotel, one has to go through the restaurant. So, sometimes it felt weird to return from a walk rained on in hiking clothes and having to go through the restaurant where there may be people in fancy dress. We got a comment or two from visitors at the restaurant because of that. Idiots I guess, but may be they felt uncomfortable that we were comfortable having had a long walk. Dress code clash I guess!

We had a Seaview, a huge terrace, a fantastic restaurant and very friendly staff

Only a slight problem, but because the property was a little way uphill, it was a bit of a walk to the beach. However, there was a really lovely man who kept offering to take us to the beach in a buggy which was a facility provided by the Hotel completely free of charge.

The location is brilliant, the staff friendly and efficient and the facilities great. The shuttle bus to the beach was excellent and easily available. We ate both nights in the dining room and the food was delicious.

The location is excellent for views but the walk down, or more importantly up, from the beach is very steep. Take the shuttle!

A rare find, in the middle of the forest, with a breathtaking view of the sea, a quality hotel with a restaurant that is really worth it! The staff is very helpful, the owners attentive and very professional. Small dogs are welcome. The rooms with large terrace are impeccable. I highly recommend it.

Not so easy to access

Amazing and very helpful and friendly staff who go that extra mile for you. Superb location. All in all a wonderful family run hotel run to International best practice standards. Everyone there is extremely invested in making your stay happy. Extremely clean and well looked after. We hope to return certainly.

Nothing to dislike.

The location is stunning, set on a hill, overlooking the sea. The beach and other restaurants are very close and can be accessed through pretty nature paths. The staff were wonderful, rooms very clean and large.

No fault of the property, it is expensive to get to by taxi. Busses had stopped running to the various small beach towns and to Ancona because we unknowingly arrived at the tail end of the beach season. Unfortunately it stymied some of our sightseeing plans.

This is an old hotel/resort on the side of a mountain overlooking the sea. Gorgeous view from the room. The room had a balcony with lounge chairs to sit an look at the ocean.

Small shower, but plenty of water pressure and hot water. The hotel is old, but well kept. It needs to be updated.
