Small and quiet. Exceptional friendly and helpful staff. Being a bit smaller made it even better, no walking for miles to the pool. Lovely pool. Rooms very clean and had everything you needed.

Amazing bedding quality, one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in! The room had blackout curtains which is SO great and rare in Indonesia. This allowed us to sleep in and was great for the baby's naps. The baby cot provided was clean and good quality. They also gave us a nightlight and a lullaby machine for the baby. So thoughtful! The pool staff and bartenders were accommodating and nice.

Unfortunately, the way the hotel is designed makes the room very noisy. Anyone shouting at the pool area or walking by your door is almost as if they were in your room. There was very poor phonic isolation, we could hear every sentence from the movie the neighbors watched at night. It's a shame if it were not for the noise pollution this hotel would be perfect. Noise is a big issue while on vacation and traveling with a baby, unfortunately, so we won't consider it for another stay.

Staff- are amazing. They take the time to get to know you and greet you by name each time you see them. They remember little things you like and make sure that those things are provided for you each time. Food- breakfast, meals and snacks were delicious. Staff were always aware of allergies and what you liked and did not like, trying to provide the best dining experience for you each time. Cleanliness- perfection. Our room, the outside communal areas, the dining areas were continually being attended to, to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. Entertainment- occassionally there was live music in the evening with a singer and acoustic guitar. There was a sports TV above the pool swim up bar and in your room there was Australian Netflix, so you continued to get your fix of your favourite shows. Position- Bars, shopping and laundry all within 2 minutes walk. Further (5 minute walk) there are numerous restaurants and more shopping. (7 minute walk) you reach the beach and the board walk from Kuta to Seminyak. A delightful way to spend the evenings, with street food, bars and music, and of course that spectacular sunset.

The Mahata is built around a courtyard with a swimming pool. Rooms looked on to the swimming pool from three sides and the restuarant from the fourth. We found the pool and number of lounge chairs too small for the number of guests. This meant it could get very noisy and as this was the only smoking area this created a further problem for non-smokers.

In the heart of Legian, only moments from the beach is this 3 star hotel which could easily be a 5 star with it's fantastic staff and service. Very clean and cosy but not cramped. Staff speak English, and it is staffed 24/7. Super helpful and very active on Whatsapp. Bathrooms were also very clean and well stocked. Lots of nice little touches like free food and drinks inside our rooms as well; free Netflix and wifi; and more. The Pool bar looked very nice too. Fully air-conditioned. We stayed only one night but would definitely come back for more next time.

No mosquito repellent available in each room. (Not big deal, many convenience stores nearby)

I found the hotel very comfortable; in fact I stayed eight consecutive night which was very pleasant. A few points to note: The hotel location is ideal for tourists with easy access to Kuta, Legian and Seminyak. All staff including security are very friendly. The Mahata restaurant adjacent to the hotel provides a variety of foods from morning till night. I would say half of my meals are taken at this restaurant. Quality of the foods are excellent, which are served at very reasonable price.

A mechanism of the breakfast is somewhat difficult to understand. They have both Buffett and a la carte menu; the latter includes coffee and other drinks; however buffet do not. It may help guests understand difference between a la carte and buffets menu, it might have been clearly explained.

We were blown away by the fresh, stylish feeling of this hotel. Everything was new and clean, but also had individual style and did not feel like a 'brand new' hotel with no soul. This place was comfortable, extremely clean, and surprisingly quiet and peaceful for such a central location. Staff were really lovely, and because the hotel is small, even in just 3 days we felt like we knew the people working there. When not busy, everyone was cleaning and making sure the guests were happy. A small problem with the pool meant we could not swim (for just one day) and the hotel put on a spread of pizza and drinks all day to help guests enjoy their time without the pool. The beds are exceptionally comfortable (I like a firm bed) and the staff asked me on the second day if I would like a soft topper if it was too hard. I declined, because I liked it the way it was. Bathroom was all new, everything worked perfectly. Air con new and cold, plenty of power outlets around the whole room, and the bedroom was nice and dark even in mid-morning (unless you turned the lights on and opened the curtains). Great, peaceful sleep which is a nice change for central Legian, which is always noisy. I will definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Nothing, it was all great!

Location was absolutely fantastic, right in the middle of a great, walkable area and close to both beach and a great range of shopping and eating. It really wasn't noisy in this location apart from one tiny little thing - our aircon! It was a bit weirdly noisy, but such a minor thing. Overall it was a great stay, the staff are superb and the whole hotel is next to new, so lovely and clean. Pool was also great (would be even better if it was non-smoking!). And it's worth reiterating that the staff really are delightful!

The room was exceptionally clean and was cleaned daily when we were out. Loved coming back to fresh towels, water refilled and bed made. Room service was great especially when I ordered my iced chocolates and smoothie bowls to the room after a long day out. Liked how it was a smaller hotel and felt like the staff got to know us.

The only problem is the noise from surrounding bars that we could hear the music playing if we were in bed around 9pm. But it was quite easy to ignore and the hotel supplies earplugs as well. Wouldn’t say that ruined our experience tho at all

The hotel feels very new, with a tree lined pool in its central courtyard which was much appreciated on hot and humid days. We had the breakfast package which was very good value with a good range of items to choose from. We also ate at the restaurant, and found the food to be delicious and well presented. The staff were impeccable, and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a comfortable one. As an example, my husband was not well, and they very thoughtfully brought ginger tea to him with his meals. Every member of staff we encountered was happy, courteous and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, with everything that we needed. The location also was good.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here and again it has been 10 out of 10. The team really do make you comfortable and go above and beyond to ensure they are doing all they can to make your stay enjoyable. The location is ideal, with a deep pool and easy access to circle k, mini mart and others. The mash potato is the best, if anything is the main reason I keep returning 😅😅 The Reno’s have freshened the place up! We also had an unexpected visitor and the team very quickly added a bed to the room which was greatly appreciated.

The beds are firm, which normally I don’t mind but this one was just a little too firm for myself. The breakfast was not as great as it has been, but still delicious nonetheless! The pool area is small and can sometimes be full when only a couple of people are in there!
