Beautiful interior and nice rooms. Only the bathroom seemed dated (except for the Bluetooth mirror)..Very friendly and helpful staff. Very complete breakfast Nice sauna. Located at walking distance from the Boka waterfall. Own (free) parking lot, right on the main road.

A little pricey, and dare I say pretentious. The food was nice, but not spectacular. Avoid rooms 205 and 206, if you can, because the kitchen vent passes above the rooms and it can make a disturbing amount of noise. And speaking of noise, the front of the building is right on the road, so there is also road noise (which strangely seems to continue all night).

The hotel itself is nicely designed, view of the mountain from the room and hotel terrace, friendly staff and comfortable room. There is a taster menu but also a la carte menu is possible. The food was very nice too. There is also an option to book river rafting, zip lining activities from the hotel. Hotel has generous parking space. The hotel is on a busy road but if you book a room with a Mountain View you do not hear the traffic.

The bathroom does smell of bleach, perhaps other cleaning materials could be used that are less toxic, It would be useful to actually read a food menu rather than be explained what is on offer.

First mention MUST go to Ingrid on reception who made us very welcome and upon seeing that we had experienced a very long day and both were suffering with a cold insisted on making us a hot drink when we came down for dinner. She also made sure we had access to Lemon and Ginger tea for taking back to our room after dinner. A real credit to the hotel. The location was a bit in the middle of nowhere, but that suited us as it was directly on the route we needed to take and near a large waterfall that we wanted to see in passing. With exception of one dodgy light fitting the room was nice and comfortable, but we were close to a road (could have paid extra to be away from the road :-) ).

A couple of small things that are more of a niggle than a dislike.... a loose wall light fitting in the room (really a 2 minute job to fix), a broken door handle on the fridge in the restaurant breakfast area where the milk etc are kept (so it was in use all the time), limited menu available, standard was ok, and not really priced in keeping with the area (but we were absolutely goosed so put up with it).

Absolutely stunning location and really central to some lovely soca river walks and boka waterfall. Really stunning view out of our balcony and we loved the balcony where we could sit and have drinks in the evening. The star gazing roof terraces were a special treat too. The room itself was really comfy and all staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly

We wanted to have dinner in the restaurant on our first night there and it turned out to be much more expensive than we would have wanted to pay because there was a four course set menu and so a bit much for us, particularly our daughter who wouldn’t want to eat that much (although it was delicious!)

Great location, close to town but remote for unspoilt views over the mountains and just over from the Boka waterfall hike starting point. Wonderful healthy and fresh breakfast. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice. Staff friendly. Very reasonable laundry cost, not priced per item at extortionate rates thankfully so could get our hiking clothes washed which was great.

Couldn’t find the sauna that is shown in photos - but to be fair, we didn’t ask either!

The rooms has been smartly refurbished, I assume quite recently, with comfy beds and decent showers. The aircon didn’t go lower than 20 deg but this produced an ok sleeping temperature for us. Dinner was delicious and reasonably priced, a rather relaxed pace but we were not in a hurry. The terrace had a really beautiful view for an evening drink. Lots of variety for breakfast.

Our room faced the road on first floor so quite close to passing cars. Would recommend not going to breakfast at peak time as it felt like they were struggling to keep dishes filled. Would be good to mention in advance that it is a four course set menu in the evening.

Hotel Boka has outstanding views from the property and is just a short hike from Slap Boka (Boka waterfall), a destination very much worth visiting on your way through Soca Valley. It was a bit pricier than the other places we stayed in Slovenia, but given the location and the exceptional breakfast, a worthwhile investment for special occasions. Speaking of the breakfast, I've never seen anything like it. The buffet had a wide variety of delicious foods, all displayed beautifully -- it was as much art as it was substance. Pastries, meats and cheeses, yogurts, cereals, beverages, cooked-to-order eggs... all the staples of a really good breakfast, but presented beautifully and with more options than we saw in other lodging. The room was spacious, modern, and well-decorated.

We initially were looking forward to dinner at the hotel, but there was a fixed menu priced at 35 euro and only half of the meal appealed to us, so we opted to turn elsewhere. If you like what they're serving that night, I expect it's a good meal with beautiful presentation (based on breakfast), but we didn't think it was worth the money.

Boka Hotel was beautiful and located very close to the waterfall and swimming spot. The view was breathtaking, and the hotel room was comfortable. The restaurant served delicious food, and the surroundings were wonderfully peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we got to enjoy an ice-cold beer on the hotel terrace before check-in (we arrived a bit too early), but they still kindly let us have the room in advance.

Nice location in the Soca Valley. The hotel is nice, although the room was a bit dark, but nice as facing the mountain. The staff was very welcoming. Excellent breakfast too

They don’t clean the room unless you put the sign on the door, but nobody told us at check in so that was a bad surprise for us the second day. At this high price, cleaning should be done everyday

Really relaxed and informal hotel with very friendly staff and excellent food in the evening. The breakfast was self- service with more than enough choice.

The hotel is well positioned for access to the Soca river but it some 4 miles from Bovec so it's a drive, walk or cycle if you want small town facilities. This wasn't a problem and there is a good quiet cycle route using the hotel's bikes.
