First, I did not understand the lower rankings of this hotel, as everything was excellent. The staff at the hotel, from check-in to check-out, provided excellent tips for rafting and booked rafting trips for us, all of which were well-organised and effective. The staff in the hotel cafe bar were wonderful too. Our room was amazing, it was so warm outside, but we did not even need an air conditioner. Beautiful view. The breakfast was very generous, and a wide variety of local products were available. Very environmentally friendly, with a reduced carbon footprint. The hotel was genuinely doing it; it is the way of life. Well done.

It would have been great to have a fridge in the room, as I was carrying medicine with me. However, a good point was that we were able to leave freezer bags in the hotel freezer overnight, and the room temperature was excellent, so no problems in the end.

Really nice hotel - small enough to feel cozy. Breakfast was alright with many options.

Coffee-making facilities in the room would have been appreciated, but this didn’t seem to be a common thing in Slovenia hotels. A small refrigerator in the room would also have been great. Parking was scarce and full when we came, but there was spill over parking at a sister hotel so it wasn’t really a problem.

Very good breakfast, all seemed high quality, what suprised me they had several types of milk (standard, almond, oath, delactosed etc.) there was even kefir as an option. Very good location close to advanture centers, beer place, coffee places and restaurants, parking on spot.

We didn't mind but you could see design style is dated, however well preserved and clean. The beds could use better matraces (even though maybe the best from the 3 we had in Slovenia). Also we got the last free place in the parking, so if we came later it might be a problem.

Breakfast was excellent with a vast array of food to choose from. This was particularly good for me as I am a vegetarian and there were plenty of options available. The location suited me very well. I am accustomed to having a fridge and tea and coffee facilities in my room. These weren’t available, but I managed well enough without them and enjoyed my stay.

My only concern was that my room was quite cold and there was no option to warm it as the heating is centrally located and switched off for summer.

Great breakfast selection, nice staff (changed my room to one that did not need stairs, very clean, i think we stayed in the new building?

Not their fault but there is a hotel being constructed right beside and we got woken up each day at 7am by the works, would recommend to enforce a bit better parking rules to maximise the very little space they have

The location is stunning. The hotel is at the best place in Bovec. We really liked the retro style of the hotel, it had a soul thanks to it. It is exactly what you would expect from looking at the photos, if you need modern hotels, go somewhere else. The stuff was very friendly and breakfast was perfect.

The mattress is as retro as the rest of the hotel , this time in the bad way.

We had a great stay at hotel Alp - the room was massive with an outdoor patio, and very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and kindly organised us a takeaway packed lunch/breakfast as we were leaving very early. The location was perfect, right in the centre of town and next to a fab brewery / burger place.

It wasn't made clear that there was limited parking on the premises. Alternative parking was at a sister hotel that was a little bit of a walk. This becomes a big deal when it is pouring rain and you have to haul your suitcase for a 5-10 minute walk. A shuttle would be very helpful.

Clean, comfortable and the location.

WiFi in the room was non existent. Pretty poor for a hotel of this standard. When I pointed this out to the lady on reception she simply said when too many people use it at once it becomes less efficient. No, it needs a booster, that’s all.
