I enjoyed everything about this property. It is an old style European hotel with beautiful frescoes on the ceilings large rooms which are well appointed the location is absolutely fantastic. Five minute walk from the trolley 10 to 15 minute walk to lively part of town with many restaurants and shops. The staff was considerate, professional, and extended themselves graciously. And for this fantastic accommodation, I paid €52 for the night. Unbelievable value! I highly, highly recommend this hotel.
The only thing I didn’t like about this trip with that I was only in this hotel for one night. I could’ve stayed there for a month.

One of the best places to stay in Antwerp. The building feels like you're stepping into a beautiful antique museum and everything was was just so stunning. The location is also perfect to visit the city centre with multiple modes of transport at just a few feet away from the doorstep of the hotel. A tram or bus will take you to the city centre in less than 10 minutes. And then the absolutely lovely host who was so friendly and professional. She just radiates this cozy and 'home' feeling from the moment you arrive. A rare but well-deserving 10/10 experience.
Nothing. Everything was amazing.

Lovely staff, very friendly and attentive. They take the time to chat to guests in the breakfast room. Good breakfast buffet with something for everyone, coffee brought to table. Interesting C19 decor in the common areas. Background music unobtrusive and tasteful. Good wide shower cabin with jolly muticoloured tiling. Well supplied coffee and tea-making facilities in the room. Quiet (apart from some noisy youngsters briefly one night.) Good location - just a short tram ride from the main station and only 15 mins walk to the main venue of the festival I was attending in the centre.
The mattress was much softer than I am used to and kept coming away from the wall. (But I still slept fine.) The main light was feeble, but there was a good little lamp you could plug in behind the pillows to read by. Some inconsiderate previous guest had unfortunately left a couple of nasty stains on the nice, newish-looking creme wallpaper.

A v basic room, but comfortable bed and clean toilet/shower, coffee and tea making facilities. Room was peaceful, I had a great nights sleep. Beautifully decorated common areas including the breakfast room. A wonderful breakfast for about £12.50- continental buffet with fresh baked bread - lots of options. Easy access even after reception closed- excellent communication from Linda via email and e-keys sent to me before my arrival.
A slight musty smell to the room, though it was clean and tidy. Easily solved with a spritz of perfume!

My stay at this hotel was absolutely positive. One of the highlights was the exceptional cleanliness, which was evident throughout the entire property. The staff at the reception stood out with their friendliness and professionalism. A particular advantage for me was the option to pay in cash. Since many hotels nowadays only accept card payments and I often experience issues with card transactions, I was very pleased with this flexibility. Additionally, I greatly appreciated the thoughtful service of being provided with an umbrella when my own was broken – a small but meaningful gesture that shows how much attention is given to the needs of the guests. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and will gladly return in the future. The bed was so comfortable that I didn’t want to get up – I’m not sure if that’s a pro or a con! Ps : I’m going to bring the umbrella back when I visit this hotel again 🥹🤞🏽

Location good for a range of attractions. On tram route from central station or 45 mins walk. Lovely art Deco lounge and breakfast room. Staff welcoming and multilingual. 'Continental' breakfast very comprehensive. Room and bathroom spacious and warm. Quirky furnishing. WiFi good. Excellent TV with some channels in English. Shower powerful.
Several flights of steep stairs without no lift would be challenging for some people. Some road and tram noise but not bad. Could have been less expensive!

I had to find a place to stay for work and always look for unique establishments. The Hotel Rubenshof was exactly that, with the added bonus of kind staff, a wonderful location, and ticking all the boxes of comfort that so many established names nowadays seem to lack. Had to miss out on breakfast due to an early appointment, but will certainly come back again to try this as well. One truly felt like Poirot on one of his out-of-London adventures!

We had a room with a shower and toilet. The hotel likely has only one star because there is no lift and some rooms have shared facilities. However, in our experience, it deserves a 3-star rating. The breakfast was good, with very attentive staff, and the stained-glass windows and wooden décor in the salon are truly superb.
Everything was fine.

Registering was seated at a desk in an beautiful art nouveau office. No standing at a reception dek here! I'd booked a basic room.and although it was small, it contained a very comfortable bed, sink, mirror, a selection of lights, wardrobe.... It was great. the breakfast was very good value and the breakfast room has the most beautiful stained glass windows. The location is great with the city Art Gallery very close by and lots of cafés restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.
This is not a complaint, but just a warning that, if you have mobility issues you should mention it when booking. I had a LOT of stairs to climb to my 2nd floor room and then, immediately inside my door there were more steps going down into the room. It would be easy to go head first down them!

i liked everything about this place! the location is great, interior is to die for, the room smelled with cleanliness, stuff were so sweet, and, i mean, the price! if i ever go to antwerp again, i will stay only here. p.s. bring your earplugs, there is no soundproof, but i won’t mark it as a con anyway since the building is old and it is visible that the owners keeping it in great condition without major renovation
