Hotel is convenient to the historic town center and the train station. The room was spotlessly clean but a bit spartan. It was very nice to have the kitchenette. There was a large deck that we did not utilize as it was cold but should be lovely in the spring and summer. The breakfast was acceptable with a fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice. In addition to cheese, ham and yogurt the host did offer scrambled eggs or a plain omelette.
Would have been nice to have a set of sheer curtains in addition to the dark drapes so there could be privacy but still enjoy the light. This room had a shower stall that was open to the bedroom so you want to be very familiar with your roommate!

The hotel owners were so accommodating. The room was spacious and had an amazing view of the church across the road. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. We wish we could have stayed longer but we had to leave early in the morning. The lovely owners offered to make us a sandwich to take with us because we couldn't stay for breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Just a short walk to the station and into the town. Lots to see.
Absolutely nothing.

Very nice experience for a very short stay this time (one short night after Rock Werchter). The hosts were kind and helpful (we got the room key in front before going to the festival so we did not bother anyone when coming back late). The breakfast was not very extravagant but it was delicious, had all one needs for a good start and prepared with care. Thank you.

For a small hotel it was a good breakfast. We was given some fruits, and some bread to make a box for the rest of the day. Personal service, asked if we wanted tea or coffee, and eggs/omelet. The room was very big and in my case I had a nice view of the theater. The parking situation is not that good in Mechelen but there is a parking house (Bruul) nearby. After asking the hotel they also suggest a nearby parking house (500 meter) which had free weekend parking.
Only thing I noticed was what when taking a shower some water always spilled on the floor outside the shower cube.

The apartment was really nice and fresh, with good heating system and some appliances such as coffee maker and water kettle with tea bags. Bed was comfy, location very good at a 10 min walk to the train station, and about same distance to the city centre. Good breakfast with possibility to also make yourself a lunch bag if needed. Friendly and helpful hosts.
There was absolutely nothing to complain about 😊

This hotel is run by a very nice couple. Our room was large with an adequate kitchenette and a generous patio. The decor was basic but functional. The breakfast was fine but nothing special. The location is very convenient and quiet and is close to the train station.
The toiletries were very basic.

Extremely comfortable, very clean, and lovely staff. The apartment was huge, well equipped and very light with a beautiful view of the XIVth century Basilica directly in front of the hotel. A pleasure to wake up to such a view. The location is perfect to explore the city and also close to the train station (directly connected to BRU airport).

nice people, nice new hotel
didnt have a hair dryer, there is no 'do not disturb' sign so room was entered when I was gone ... Either you dont clean for short stays or have a 'do not disturb sign' or you ask whether you can clean ...

The staff were lovely and helpful, the breakfast was good and the whole place was very clean and well maintained, with a small but well appointed kitchen area in each room. Good location too, though do bear in mind that being opposite a very lovely church, the bells will chime early on a Sunday morning.
The shower and sink are separated from the main bedroom with just a glass panel. Although this looks quite nice it is not very convenient for sharing a room with a friend rather than a partner. Sadly this seems to be a common thing in many European hotels. Fortunately the toilet had closed walls and a door to it at least.
