Ticked all the boxes in the brilliant and humble Mechelen. Stayed over for the football in the North of the city and glad I did. Everything was clean, comfortable and having a TV to cast to is wonderful but rare as well. Really appreciated the attention of check in and check out staff. Upon leaving there was a fair sized queue in reception and I was also running late for my train. The lady at reception realised this and promptly dealt with me. Little detail but it didn't go unnoticed, Thank you.

Although you could get drinks down in a warm reception area there wasn't a kettle in my room. Minor inconvenience though and not a reason to not stay for myself.

Modern hotel, very easy to find. Quiet rooms supplied with teas and coffee machine; all toiletries, including hair conditioner and body lotion. Friendly and helpful staff. Great buffet-style contintental breakfast. In addition, complimentary teas and coffee were available 24/7 near reception. Small selection of drinks and snacks could be purchased from reception. The hotel clearly has an environmentally sustainable policy with a genius incentive to make clients do the same (current as of review). Secure carparking next door with direct access to hotel. Suggest if you are on two motorcycles that can use one parking space, contact the hotel directly to make arrangements. Short walking distance to/from railway station and to the old centre and shopping area of Mechelen. Would highly recommend for short or longer stay to explore Mechelen and the surrounding area.

Breakfast needed to be improved on. But it wasn't bad, though.

Breakfast was great. Everything was super clean. The staff were very nice.

We forgot to bring our UK/Europe electrical adaptor for our phones, shaver. The staff were helpful in advising us where to purchase one. They did not have one to lend us. Unfortunately the adaptor we purchased failed to work after a couple of days and we were stuck with no access to the means to charge our phones or IPad. We eventually took the adaptor back to the shop in Mechelan where we purchased it and they gave us a new one. It would have been helpful if the staff had advised us that the hotel actually had the facility for us to charge our phones in the breakfast area. We did not know this until we discovered it for ourselves. It would also have been helpful if we could have been ‘loaned’ an adaptor earlier on.

Breakfast was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Room was very clean which is the most important factor.

The only disappointment was that the hotel did not allow the air conditioning to work. Until that is fixed I would not go back. It took hours to get to sleep because of lack of air and the traffic was too noisy to open the window. If it worked I would have scored it a 10 because the hotel was otherwise perfect for what we needed.

Rooms are nice and clean. Bathroom is a bit on the small side but very clean and it has a good shower. Love the idea of free coffee and tea. Easy access from the train station.

Breakfast area is too small, specially if a full group of tourist have breakfast at the same time. Then it is too crowded and no easy access to the breakfast area. Further at that time there is not enough space to sit privately to enjoy your breakfast. As I stay for business and need to leave early I cannot choose to have my breakfast later and avoid the crowd. This is a point for me to maybe reconsider a next stay.

Easy to locate, underground car park secure and clean, friendly checkin. Location within walking distance to town including train station if required. Very clean room, great temperature control and exceptionally quiet. Very clean bathroom with a great shower. Clean and modern breakfast area, quite busy when we went but still a great choice of breads, cheese and hot selection. Two machines serving coffee. Exceptional short stay.

Some fresh fruit choices would have topped the breakfast for us. But overall would not have changed a thing.

Excellent location near to town centre and near to train station, parking possibilities nearby, helpful staff. Good breakfast (free coffee machine in reception always available). Everything clean and new. They have a great service, where you can opt out of room cleaning and get a voucher for the bar/shop as a reward (daily) - this is such a good idea.

Lack of kettle and fridge in the room

There was unlimited beverages at the reception for 24 hours, having traveled late in the night I found it refreshing that I could drink hot chocolate at the reception at n additional cost. This is very good and I'll stay again whenever I visit the area.

I got a room with two single and separated bed as a single occupant. I found that not nice but it was a one night and I guess maybe I assumed during the reservation that the beds are together.

Close to the train/bus station, 10 minute walk to the city centre. Two free coffee machines are available 24-hours a day. Very quiet rooms. Staff are very friendly and helpful. You can opt to not have your room serviced. The hotel rewards this by providing a 5-euro credit for their bar/shop. This backs-up their commitment to sustainability (and not just to cost-cutting like many other hotels).

Everything was great.
