The parking could be difficult if you’re disabled ( as I am) and travelling alone ( which I wasn’t) Once you’ve entered the car park via a steep ramp there is no disabled access into the hotel…. Just stairs….. not a great start if you’re in a wheelchair. The hotel is fully accessible from the street

The Staff were excellent. The young guy at reception when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. He took time using a map to describe places of interest in the City, which we used the following day.A lady at reception gave us bottles of water as we had to walk to the Station in hot weather.

Hotel is located in the Centre so there was a little bit of noise from the street at night, I’m sure other rooms are better located to avoid this potential problem.

Breakfast was good, I really loved the waffles. Girls on reception are really nice and they have been really welcoming. They also offered us a free lemon water, cookies and bottled water. Also, everything looked clean and we got everything in our room what we needed (actually a mini fridge would be a nice addition in the future).

I've asked to get a quite room, however we got a room with a broken window handle, so we could not close it completely, therefore during the night I could hear the noise, so I did not sleep very well.

Excellent location, within walking distance of everything. Spacious and quiet rooms. coffee and tea facilities in-room. Parking garage, Breakfast included in the price of good quality.

Parking garage available, but spaces are narrow and there are no charging points for EV car, that's a pity. Reasonably priced. Breakfast stops at 10 a.m. during weekdays. A bit early of you are on holidays :-)

The hotel is very nice, central, large room, nicely decorated. There is a kettle in the room which I appreciated a lot. Breakfast is good. People are helpful and friendly. The hotel is central and close to a bus stop but train station is about 20 minutes away on foot and if you walk through the Bruul it's a very pleasant walk.

The room does not have a fridge. In summer it would be nice. The room does not have a wardrobe. It was not a problem for me especially since I was not carrying a lot of clothes. It has a few hangers.

Everything was perfect, the hotel staff was very polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the very center of the city, easy to find. The hotels garage was full but there was a garage nearby and it was very cheap for overnight stay. Breakfast was great also. 10/10 would visit again.

Breakfast was great, beds were comfortable, pillows with hard and soft side so no one from the family and any problems with sleeping, location is perfect, walking distance to Nekkerhal and other parts of the city, the hotel has an underground parking which is great when visiting by car, just park and enjoy :)

The location is good, easy 10 minute walk from the Mechelen-Nekkerspoel train station and very close to Saint Rumbold's Cathedral and the Grote Market. Room was spacious and clean, very comfortable, with a nice sized shower. The breakfast was good, what you would expect from a Holiday Inn Express. Natasha, who checked us in was delightful, efficient and quite helpful.

Everything was great. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. We loved the bar area - perfect for relaxing in the evening after a day of sightseeing and dinner. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice so we could mix it up during our stay. And the location was perfect to our long weekend in Mechelen, a city which we loved.

It's a very tiny thing - but the body towels for showering were rather small and threadbare.

The friendliness, the location

The chair for disabled peoplein the bathroom was not very stable. It was a bit unsafe. I had to use the support from the toilet. There should be a regular size table or desk in the room. I had to work with my laptop on the low table the whole Friday. That was very uncomfortable.
