The novelty of staying in a working brewery is great. Since our last visit the rooms have been upgraded and the shop re-sited. The restaurant serves Michelin recommended dishes and the food was excellent as always. The all you can eat breakfast is a winner, choose from cold cuts and cheeses, fresh fruit, yoghurts. rolls, bread and jam or freshly made bacon and scrambled egg with tea, coffee or fruit juice (07:00-09:30 or 08:00-10:30 weekends).
We always liked the cod drinks machine (chilled beer!) in the hotel lounge but sadly only lucky customers who hold a Belgian i.d. card can operate the machine now. It would be great if the hotel could issue some sort of temporary card for foreign over 18's to be able to use the machine. (Us Scots are thirsty travellers).

We have stayed with Het Anker on a number of occasions now and absolutely love it. The brewery is such an interesting location and their beer is one of our favourites, so to have to opportunity to stay on site, is brilliant. It's a lovely hotel. The staff are very welcoming and we appreciate the parking on site and that they welcome our little dog each time we come. The rooms are stylish, with a heavy nod to the Het Anker branding, and we always get a great night's sleep. The hotel is only a short walk from the town center, and we always visit our favourite pubs when we are here. Thanks for another great stay! See you again soon.
Nothing - we enjoy our stay every time!

Very convenient for the city centre and has the bonus of an outstanding brewery attached. The bar does taster selections of their famous beers. A good breakfast is provided and parking is possible at extra charge. Rooms in the old building are quieter than the new ones. We have stayed there many times.
It is perhaps understandable that being a brewery and bar, some guests roll into their rooms gone midnight, having had a great time. On all the 3 nights we were disturbed by guests continuing the party in their rooms. Parking on site is costly and limited, the city council are slowly making it difficult for motorists anywhere inside the ring-road. There is a new multi-storey carpark about 10 minutes walk away which is more reasonable than at the hotel.

This is one of our favourite places to stay and we have been many times. As usual the welcome was friendly and check-in efficient and the room was clean and spacious. We arrived by ebike this time, and they allocated a room that opened directly into the brewery yard next to the covered cycle parking area. Cycle parking is not in a locked building, but the whole yard is locked overnight and it is very secure. Breakfast was varied and tasty with the signature view of the brewery yard in full swing, and of course the on-site bar / restaurant was amazing as always.

The ambiance of staying in a modern room in the confines of a working brewery. The staff in all areas are friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast and in the Brasserie is excellent and the service is good.
A bit sad that, as British guests without suitable ID cards, we couldn't use the beer vending machine in the lobby. Is there a way that the hotel could issue an access card of some sort with the room key?

Reception is in the main section of the brewery and our room was further down the road with convenient car parking. The room was very good, large and comfortable with a good bathroom. Location of the brewery is within easy walking to sites and shops. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were both very good.
Breakfast is in the restaurant but not specifically advised to us which involved asking cleaning staff where to go. Would have appreciated an English Channel on television!

Fab and friendly hotel on outskirts of mechelen. Easy walk through beguinage to centre. Great beer and nice food. Comfy rooms which were appointed well.
Restaurant was really busy on the Sunday evening with groups. It would have been useful to have been advised to book on arrival. No tea bags in the rooms. Needed an ID card with a chip to use the vending machine.

Location was perfect for accessing main city areas. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included in the price. Comfortable beds. Brewery visit and well stocked shop. Car parking facilities on site.
Room was fairly spartan with insufficient hanging space and cupboard space for clothes.

Room was very clean and comfortable, and was cleaned everyday with fresh towels supplied. I appreciated the tea making facilities in the room. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a great choice including hot bacon and scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, salami, yoghurts, fresh fruit, choice of breads and croissants, orange juices and hot drinks, and home made flapjacks. The waitress was especially friendly and efficient. Het Anker Brouerij is a wonderful combination of hotel, restaurant, bar, shop, and brewery. The brewery tour is well worth doing, and includes generous tastings of several beers.
It's quite a long walk to the train station, but there's a bus stop outside the brewery, and the taxis are cheap. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't appear to be working.

Very lovely place, comfortable room, good breakfast and tasty beers. Restaurant is very lively and food was amazing, though we weren't expected such portions size difference across main dishes.
There were quite a lot of mosquitos flying in our room at night, so be prepared (use AC or some anti-mosquito product)
