When traveling with the car, most Hotels in Mechelen have no parking close by. You have to park in a parking garage, which is expensive and inconvenient. The Hobbit Hotel is very close to the Industrial area in Mechelen North and has a big parking area right in front of the Hotel. The Rooms are great, bed was fantastic with the perfect softness and high pillows. Everything was very clean, the service was more than excellent, people super friendly and also the breakfast was great. I will definitely stay in the Hobbit Hotel again when I visit Mechelen next time.

There isn't really anything I didn't like.

I stay at this hotel for the second time, the first time was 2016. But this year I was very pleased, the hotel is very clean, large parking, which is a rarity in all of Belgium. Very large rooms with good bathrooms, the rooms are cleaned every day. Special thanks to the hotel staff, the administrator, the guy at the reception, thanks to you I felt at home. See you soon.

Very kind staff & management. The rooms have been very comfortable & clean & the breakfast didn’t leave any wishes open. The whole hotel is in a good & modern condition. You can rent bikes, the bus-stop is around the corner & enough parking spots are at hand. Since it has been the time of the summer holidays we didn’t hear much traffic noise.

Although the room has been equipped with a pretty efficient fan, it got quite warm inside. You can’t open the windows fully & there’s no sun-screen on the building, or air-conditioning inside. The management knows that problem & has reported it already to the main owner of this hotel-group…let’s hope that they will improve here. As soon as the temperatures go up to more than 25degrees outside this is a major inconvenience.

Just off the motorway and a reasonable walk to the historic centre of Mechelen. The walk is about 2.5km, maybe too far for some, but I found it to be a quite enjoyable stroll up the river. Great rooms, generously sized. Really helpful staff.

Possibly a little too close to the motorway, but the distant noise didn't bother me.

It is good price / quality ratio. Ideal for traveling for work. Easy accessable from highway and plenty of parking space. Personal is also very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a bit remote from the city center of Mechelen. However, if you have a car, if you wish it is easy to go into the city to enjoy the city life.

We had the loveliest stay here mainly due to shaky the staff on duty. He made us feel so welcome and couldn’t be more helpful. We sat in the bar and had beers on the first night and shaky ordered our takeaway pizza for us and chatted with us which we really liked. The rooms were nice and clean and it was a very quiet hotel.

The room is very clean, and big enough. The breakfast is very good, several choices. The beds were ust perfect, but not the pillows. The were a little too hard.

The pillows as mentioned above. I will had prefer to be offered the option to also book the breakfasts from Booking.com Surely, I could have pay less than the 15 € per morning.

The man on reception was the best receptionist I ever met. I was not happy with the room we got (the road side), and the receptionist showed me and suggested all other available rooms. Also I forgot the toothbrush and he gave me one. It could not be any better.

The receptionists were the best. They let us check in earlier and check out later to better fit our trip. Very friendly and attentive, they helped us order dinner and offered us drinks. Very polite and professional. Without a doubt, very good people who made the stay more enjoyable.

You hear the traffic noise from the road quite well. Shower was so-so clean. floor of the shower looked a bit dirty
