We spent one night there as a family of 5 and we had a lovely set of rooms to ourselves. It was clean, spacious and bright. Our 3 young children took one room and the adults had the other. All the rooms were joined together which was perfect for us. The garden was wonderful for both the adults and the children who enjoyed the play area and you feel as though you're in a private back garden as it's so quiet and surrounded by other (lovely) residences. It's a short walk to the beach and the main high street and the hotel is located in a really beautiful tulip-lined street. All the staff we spoke to were very helpful and polite. The hotel also has quirky bit of character with some cute Easter animals & decorations and some interesting things for the children to look at. Lovely stay and I wish we could have stayed for longer.

The only downside is that there was no natural light in one of the bedrooms which was a shame but I understand this wouldn't have been possible due to the layout. As we were there for such a short time this didn't matter too much. Also the window in the other bedroom opened wide to a sheer drop of 6 floors down which made me nervous with young children staying in that room (although the window is not floor height). We kept it closed for the whole time which wasn't an issue temperature-wise but may have been more of an issue in the summer months if you need to cool the room or if you have a child who tends to climb! I didn't notice any aircon but I didn't look for it so it may have been there.

Very warm service from staff and owners. Very nice clean relaxing and private room. Superb large garden with play equipment and a little tree climb for the children. Nice atmosphere in the dining hall. Location is absolutely perfect, easy walk to the beach and direct tram to Plopsaland. Located in a sweet quiet street.. you'd never know you were just by the busy beach. We would like to stay here again!

My pillow, but that's personal :-D

Location, the room - very clean and spacious. The location is very good - near to excellent shops and the sea front. Lot of options of things to do.

The parking is pretty bad. We found somewhere along the street about 500 metres away. This would be nigh on impossible during the season. I think 20 euros to park at the hotel would be a must and I think a little expensive.

Aside from the beautiful location, I must say the hosts were absolutely incredible. It started out with us getting an upgrade to one of their beautiful villas, and after an amazing stay, they even helped us when our flight back home got cancelled; they helped find a suitable alternative and even let us stay half a day longer, free of charge. We're incredibly grateful, and will definitely be back ☺️

The breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious and all the food available is ethically sourced. The staff is friendly. The hotel is in a very good location, it's just a short walk away from the beach and there are many stores nearby. The beds are comfortable and the whole hotel is very clean and well-kept.

A surprising find but we loved this independent hotel only a few minutes walk from the beach. Very helpful staff, very clean facilities and comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast and parking too (pre-book in busy times). A little gem and for us an unexpected find in terms of the hotel and the location. We'd never heard of De Panne but will definitely return.

The location is quite nice - 5 minutes to city life center and the sea. Therefore the street outside is very lovely and quite but you can be in cafe drinking belguim beer at the first notice. Hotel have a small (10-12 places) car parking (open air) behind the building but keep in mind that you need to reserve a place in advance (17 euro). There is a small garden with BBQ equipment and activities for kids.

Sound isolation is miserable (you can hear each step of people above you). Single beds are super narrow. (for a full size man)

Location near to beach, centre of town and Plopsaland. Lift is very convenient. Large garden is lovely for children and adults alike. Off street parking is a boon. Variety of bedroom sizes is very helpful for large family groups.

The location is great, only a short walk to a fabulous beach. The size of the apartment was great for a family of 6, lots of space. Lovely big windows. Quiet location.

It would have been lovely if there was a kitchenette as plenty of space for it.
