We had an amazing experience staying in May Altafulla Beach Boutique Hotel. My family and I had a vacation and stayed here for 7 nights from 14th till the 21st of June 2024. The location of the hotel is really great: it was extremely comfortable to have just 2-3 minutes walking to the beach. My son and I had a room on the third floor (there is an elevator), as well as my mother and her husband had. And my sister's and her husband's room was on the second floor. My and my son's room was sunny and spacious, it was cleaned every day, towels were changed when we needed. The staff at the reception and the restaurant was very friendly, talked Spanish and English and helped efficiently with our requests. Thank you so much! The food was delicious! We had a Swedish table on the breakfast and there were always enough of vegetables, cheese, sausages, meat, eggs prepared in different ways, a lot of fruits - apples, kiwis, plumps, melons, watermelons, pears and plums, fresh orange juice, lots of delicious pastries and breads! We celebrated here my son's 5th birthday and enjoyed being here so much. Comfort-wise, money-wise it was our best bet to choose this hotel.

Beautiful place so calm and peaceful. Lying on the roof terrace listening to the sea is bliss. The rooms are a good size with comfortable beds. The expresso machine is lovely. Breakfast buffet has a good selection to suit all including freshly pressed orange juice. The locating is beautiful stunning golden beaches nice tapas restraunts and peaceful bars. This is a quiet relaxing break with culture as castles not a drinking holiday.

Some issues with the shower there seems to be an air lock in the drain which means it's already flooding the room by the time the water starts to go. A small lip on the shower door would save a lot of mess and hassle.

One block from the beach, clean and lovely inclusive breakfast a lovely rooftop bar and pool clean rooms. Everything was great.

I only have one comment. It would be nice to have a light blanket in the hotel room to go over the sheet even though I understand that the main reason is probably to save energy so people don’t use air conditioning if they’re cold. But some people just like to feel a little extra weight on them when they sleep.

We enjoyed the very spacious and pleasant environment of the hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff, pleasant and helpful reception workers! And a fabulous terrace on the roof overlooking the town and the sea! Lovely boulevard within 20 meters of the hotel, quite sandy beach, several waterfront restaurants, relaxed and pleasant atmosphere (beginning of May, not yet tourist high season, maybe this made a difference. Finally a hotel with good consistent WiFi! Good very expansive breakfast buffet, set up in a way which made it feel luxurious even though it was a buffet. Free street parking. The rooftop terrace was even bigger and more comfortable than it looked like in the pictures, which is unusual, with great views of the ocean and the surrounding area, with more than enough reclining deck or lounge chairs. Great service!

Nothing really to complain about. We were a bit wary, as beautiful pictures are often a bit deceiving, but in this case, the hotel really matches up to the impression on booking.com. They upgraded us to a better room since it was low season. The location is amazing, mere meters from the beach and you can hear and see the sea from the room. The restaurant had amazing food. The rooftop terrace has amazing views and the pool was heated, but you can't smoke there. Toilet & shower are sepparate (good), sink& mirror are in the room actually (weird, but not bad). The room looks great. Cosmetics provided were high quality.

The design of the toilet is a bit strange, the glass door does not come up to the ceiling. Do not recommend for new couples, you can hear everything. There's no wardrobe, only some shelfs, drawers and hangers, if you're there for a longer trip it's a bit inconvenient, but otherwise it's fine. The double bed has 2 sepparate matresses, and I slipped between them a lot. We only had a sheet to cover up and it was getting a bit chilly. But to be fair, I did not ask at the reception for a duvet.

What a special place. Very relaxed atmosphere but with fantastic quality and standards. Team went out of their way to make the stay special. The proximity to the beach was wonderful and surrounded by lovely eateries and bars. The hotel roof bar on an evening has a great atmosphere and stays open until late. You are also very close (about 10/15) mins by foot to the train station which allows for additional exploring of the nearby towns and also Barcelona

One of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip around Spain. Everything still looks brand new, is very clean and modern. Staff was very kind and patient, and even gave us a free upgrade, so our room was huge. There was also an extra door between the actual bedroom and the hallway of the room (effectively having two doors between the bedroom and the main hallway), which was great for sound isolation, as we didn't hear any noise.

Although the parking garage was clearly safe and closed off, we have a rather big car, and it wasn't very easy to manoeuvre.

Everything! The staff is amazing, the rooms are spacious and clean, the breakfast excellent, wifi is fine… the best is their roof top swimming pool and bar/restaurant with great views. We really enjoyed our stay there.

I would say it’s a bit expensive for what you get. Maybe it’s also due to the high season so they take advantage of that. And I wish there were more beds in the shade in the pool area. Sometimes they are all full

Wonderful roof bar and pool. Outstanding breakfast. Very close to the beach. 1 minute walk and to good selection of sea front restaurants. Exceptional sound proofing in rooms. Very comfortable beds. Very spacious rooms.

"Sea view" very limited due to location.

It was right at the beach. Nice bright room with free water chocolate and snacks. There were flip-flops and nice towels for the pool. The rooms towards the entrance were great as I had sea view from my room! The breakfast was plenty and the room is nice. The quality was medium and for that kind of a hotel could be better but well I think Spain is not known for it‘s breakfast. So it was fine! Staff was positive and nice. Take a walk along the beach or to the small center like 5 minutes away.

There are little things which are not big of a matter. Mostly I missed a table to work. I choose the small board from the bed but why not add tables for the balcony!
