December 2024

We stayed at Hôtel 1770 & Spa during a road trip to Spain and chose it for its convenient location outside Avignon. The hotel was perfect for an overnight stay. The rooms were extremely comfortable—spacious, with a beautiful bathroom, great lighting, and every detail thoughtfully designed. It was a relaxing space that exceeded our expectations for comfort. The hotel is also pet-friendly, which was a big plus for us as we traveled with our cat. They were very thoughtful and provided a food and water bowl, which we greatly appreciated. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the indoor pool looked fantastic, even though we arrived too late to use it.

The restaurant was average, though we didn’t expect a fine dining experience for an overnight stay. We didn’t try breakfast as we had to leave early to continue our road trip, so we can’t comment on it. The main downside was the waiting time during check-out, which took longer than expected.

Breakfast was lovely. The location is helpful in that it is close to Avignon and theoretically has easy parking. If you want to roll out of your hotel and see the sights, this isn't the place for you.

Parking was a big issue on the weekends. There's a restaurant and nightclub, so between 7pm and midnight, not enough parking is available. The staff were friendly did what they can, but I hope the hotel finds a better solution.

very comfortable hotel, excellent and friendly staff, room and shower very good all facilities you need in a room. there is an adjacent spa but we were only there for 1 night so did not get to use it, there is also an adjacent large restaurant called The Factory food was very good as was the service, breakfast was in a nice room off the hotel, good amount of food and choice available. The lady on reception was exceptional!

would have been nice if you could walk to a town, it was on a retail pk , which was not a major problem for us as we had our car and we are in the restaurant, it was quite at night so sleeping was not a problem.

We were happily surprised with our room, the warm indoor pool environment, and more than that, by the quality of the brasserie restaurant attached. It got quite busy with locals on a weekday, with good reason. Good food and ambiance.

Lovely converted old building. Just outside Avignon with regular buses until late into centre. Fabulous buffet breakfast, in the evenings the restaurant served delicious dinner, but could walk to good choice of other places to eat if wished

Great swimming people and nicely decorated. Loved the coffee machine in the room too.

Breakfast was disappointing. Expensive for lack of choice and poor quality.

we had a visiting lizard one night that was difficult to trace…the hotel is located in the industrial area which is not attractive to walk in the neighbourhood.
