We were welcomed with a cold juice and an iced cloth which was very welcome as we were hot and sweaty after disembarking the afternoon ferry from Isabela. Breakfast menu changed every morning. Lovely airy rooms, good air con and comfortable bed and pillows. Well maintained.

Two evenings during our stay, the pool and jacuzzi was taken over by a group of Americans, who got louder as the evening went on. We couldn’t read on our balcony as they were very loud. There were bottles and glasses all over the pool area and no one else could use the pool from 4.00pm onwards as there really wasn’t space for anyone else. The staff should have made sure that others could use the pool and also made sure the space was cleared of bottles etc.

Hotel Acacia exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very clean, had high ceilings, & were beautifully decorated. We had water bottles available to us during our stay & a fridge in the room. The air conditioning was strong & nice (ceiling fans were available above both beds). The beds were comfortable with nice pillows & were large (2 king beds). We really appreciated the blackout shades to make the room dark & having a balcony to dry clothes was helpful. The bathrobes for each guest were a nice touch. The lounge area on the first & second floors were nice added features. The staff were very friendly. Jose & the manager especially. The breakfast available every morning was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice hotel & wanting easy access to the downtown harbor area. This hotel was a great value & is a great alternative for those looking for a great hotel that isn't as pricey as Finch Bay. We had a very enjoyable stay & I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The street itself the hotel is on is very quiet which is good because the wall is mostly made of windows so when the diving center next door loads up equipment you hear it early in the morning. This didn't really matter because there are so many early tours/activities that you are getting up early anyway. Just something to know.

The hotel staff is very friendly and always seeing how they can make your stay better. Breakfast is cooked fresh every day when you order it. If you need to leave early for an activity, you can put in your breakfast order the night before and have it waiting for you in the morning. The hotel is away from the main street, so it's a lot quieter than being in the touristic center. The bed is very comfortable. The towels are very soft, and you can take beach towels for free. WiFi is pretty fast, considering the island location. There is a hot tub, pool, and lots of terrace space.

The rooms are a bit small, especially for 2 people with several suitcases. It's hard to combat the humidity during the cool months (especially after taking a shower). Shower temperature can swing from hot to cold and be hard to control sometimes. Sink faucets are too short, so you often flood the counter when washing your hands.

Like most hotels in the town this hotel appears to be built on the plot of a house. But it’s well laid out with rooms on 3 levels. The rooms are comfortable and clean with en-suites. All the staff were very helpful and accommodating and arranged packed breakfasts for us on early starts. Special mention to Jose Miguel who communicated with us before and during our stay with watsapp and was very helpful. A great place to stay to explore the town and islands.

Hotel Acacia is a wonderful boutique hotel which we stayed for a week. Jose and Claudia hotel staff were amazing and went out of their way for us to enjoy all the comforts. The hotel was spotless and they were always cleaning. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of fruit, yogurt, eggs, cheese, meat and avocado. Thank you to the chef! A friend was ill and they gave us an electrolyte supplement and made toast in the afternoon. Thank you to all the staff!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly, helpful, and very attentive to our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect (just a few minutes walk away from great restaurants and shops). If I ever come back to Santa Cruz, I will always want to stay here.

I loved the pool at the hotel, but I wish the water would be filtered out more so the bugs and daily grime would be at a minimum.

Excellent location and very warm and welcoming staff who gave excellent local recommendations too. The breakfast was great and the availability of filtered water on the floor was a great plus too.

The hotel is called Galapagos House on the TCT permit system, not Acacia. Would have been good to know that when we booked so we didn't have to call to find out about it when we were applying for the permit.

What an exceptional property! This immaculately clean boutique hotel has approximately 12 rooms on 3 storeys with wide open, airy common spaces to relax. Someone is always sweeping or cleaning around the small complex. The reception staff are incredibly welcoming, hospitable and helpful without being intrusive and English is well spoken. They can arrange everything for you as well as being partnered with a helpful travel agency next door. They can also send out for laundry service. Beach towels are available. Rooms are well appointed with all the standard travel essentials and tastefully decorated with local art featuring Galapagos wildlife themes. There is also an evening turn down service. The in-room A/C works very well and a small fridge is included. The table service breakfast is fresh and delicious and portions are large. You start with juice, fruit and yogurt followed by a different themed egg dish as a main course. Location in Puerto Ayora is excellent: just a few convenient steps away from the restaurants, shops and piers on the main avenue but far enough away such that it is nice and quiet in the evening. Should we ever return to Santa Cruz, this is where we'd stay. Again.

The water temperature in the shower tends to fluctuate hot and cold, but I'm not sure there's anything that can be done about that. Not a big deal or a show-stopper by any means.

What an exceptional hotel! A perfect location, just a block off the main street with views of the water. We had the water view room and it was wonderful. The rooms are well equipped, modern, and quite stylish. As wonderful as the facilities are, it is the service that stands out even more- just wonderful. So kind and attentive to all your needs. Breakfast is great- I’m vegan and they went out of their way to make sure I had a great breakfast (the other half of our party was not vegan and had wonderful breakfast as well). I really can’t recommend this hotel more- I would definitely stay here if I’m lucky enough to return.

This was an absolutely amazing boutique hotel to stay in. The staff went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. The breakfasts served in our room were amazingly fresh and delicious. We loved every moment at this fabulous hotel. Truly wonderful in all areas!🥰
