Stayed 7 nights. The room was very spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel was in a great location not far from the station, restaurants, and convenient stores. We walked to the station everyday to catch a bus and it only took 6-7 minutes as long as you don't have to stop for the traffic lights. It snowed a couple of times but was fine. The reception staff were very helpful and kind. I would stay at this hotel if I were to come here again. The best Art hotel in Japan. Morioka is a great place to base yourself while on a snow ski holiday.

The breakfast room on the 14th floor can see Mt Iwate in a clear day. The food spread is very wide with local and a bit of western selection. It also serves cold noodle and jajamen. Room is clean and large as described on booking website. Although the distance to the train station is about 650m away, but the hotel is nearer to the city castle ruin and shopping district.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at the hotel and had the same breakfast spread! Wish it can be slightly different spread every 2 to 3 days.

Room was larger than expected and was well equipped with power sockets (each bed has their own + a USB port as well). Stay was very comfortable and we managed to keep three hard shell suitcases of more than 24" size open without interfering with the walking space too much, though we did sacrifice some seating space. Also, the hotel is across the street from a mall, a 2-3 min walk from a few convenience stores, and a 2-5 min walk from a number of eateries.

Not really a dislike, but a note: As with most denser areas in Japan, the hotel parking utilizes an automated parking system, so dropping off / collecting your car can be a bit more time consuming and less convenient than a traditional parking area.

I am familiar with the hotel and the immediate surroundings. There are restaurants in and near the hotel, family mart over the road, a small, but good supermarket 3 minutes walk away and undercover parking is available at 1100¥ per night. The staff are very helpful and friendly (parking staff too). It's good to be able to wash clothes, but there is competition for the 2 machines. The rooms aren't big, but they are warm with the basic necessities. I like the anti-fog bathroom mirror.

I've never seen a toilet so useless at flushing.

The hotel is well positioned - a few minutes walk from the station. It was quite a wet day, and you do have to navigate area that does not offer a great deal of shelter from the rain. It was not too bad and we did gauge how many restaurants and bars there were in the general area around the hotel. The hotel itself is comfortable, clean and well presented, with fairly generous room size and friendly, helpful staff. We enjoyed a generous breakfast with a good variety of meals. The restaurant is on the top floor which offered a lovely view of the mountains - and would be quite spectacular in winter.

There was really nothing I did not like. I am not sure how easy the access would be during winter when footpaths can be quite icy..

The room was well equipped, spacious and comfortable for a small family as advertised. The breakfast spread was good too. They also prepared child friendly items such as slippers and sponges for the little ones.

The bathtub could have been equipped with anti-slip material, given there was no alternative/separate shower area other than the bathtub. It would also have been great if they varied the breakfast offering slightly so that it didn’t feel we had the exact same choices daily.

Hotel location was less than 10 min walk. The info counter staff at JR Morioka station was helpful in pointing out which exit/direction to use/take. Hotel staff made her best effort to communicate in simple English and was amiable. Room size, bed/pillow comfort, cleanliness & provision of amenities was more than adequate for our 1 night stay. Loved Morioka as a place to relax and explore with good selection of food. If I ever visit Japan again, would stay longer to explore other areas nearby Morioka as they have their own local brand of craft beer & wineries.

Nothing to complain

Nice modern hotel. Good size room with 3 proper comfortable beds and still room for a seating area. Comfortable pillows as well. Amazing breakfast buffet eaten whilst enjoying the view over the town. Nice shopping mall across the road where we should have had dinner instead of trying to find a restaurant in the maze of restaurants further down the road.

Not so very far from the station but in the heat it felt longer.

breakfast was good on our last stay, was too expensive for a family of 6 to have breakfast there every morning. perhaps a discount for large families should apply. The rooms were comfortable and the shower was great. enjoyed a bath on two evenings which relieved our muscles.

Towels could have been larger. My sons complained about the pillows being too hard, but we loved the pillows, so perhaps the option to change pillows of varied hardness could be an option in the future. Parking was okay but we had to pay extra because of the higher vehicle, perhaps that could have been made free, considering the other carpark was free to use.

This was a great property within a 5 minute walk from the station. It was near to a street filled with restaurants, karaoke, and shops. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had different options for both western and Japanese food. I’d go again specifically for the breakfast buffet. The room was comfortable and the bed was also comfortable.

The bathroom was a little small and in an odd area with a step to get into the bathroom itself. Not a deal breaker though.
