This must be the best hotel on the Amalfi coast and one of the top hotels in the whole of Italy. It is a modern, family-owned property (renovated in the last 5 years I think) that exudes cool design and discrete luxury. Built on top of a cliff overlooking the Mediterranean, you enter on the top floor and then descend through the hotel and down to the private beach. There are two restaurants (a beach trattoria and a fine dining restaurant that doubles as the breakfast restaurant). The food and service are excellent (they particularly pride themselves on the breakfast offering). There’s a 24 hour gym stocked with new technogym equipment. Our room was spectacular, with amazing views over the Mediterranean. The room was cleaned thoroughly in the morning and the maid came again in the evenings to sort the bathroom, turn down the bed etc. Maintenance deserves to be mentioned; the hotel is spotlessly clean and obviously well maintained. I have travelled widely and visited many great hotels, but this has to be the best I have ever stayed in.

Everything. Borgo Santandrea is a dream. Even for the elegant Amalfi coast, this hotel is without an equal. The result of a complicated and well executed total renovation enduring 4 1/2 years, this extraordinary hotel embodies the very best of what Italy is and what Italians are: impeccable style, unparallelled beauty, unpretentious elegance, wonderful food and wine, and a warm and welcoming hospitality that places the guests’ pleasure as its very top priority ... not to mention the “to die for” views from virtually every corner of this property! Here, you will find a unique, one-of-a-kind resort whose facilities occupy an entire cliffside from the highest peak down to its own private beach. Throughout this extensive property, you will find attention to detail at every turn - from the beautifully maintained flowers and indigenous plants that adorn trellises, to beautifully appointed spaces that employ a consistent but tastefully varied blue and white theme (incorporating the color of the Mediterranean Sea and sky it overlooks) to modern design elements like hidden lights that illuminate recessed handrails on staircases and a huge open kitchen where guests are invited to partake in the hotel’s extensive breakfast buffet. The entire facility is extremely well designed, tastefully appointed, and well executed. While we were fortunate to receive the gift of a suite with its own private infinity pool (which, from the perspective of my camera lens, merges at once with both the sky and the sea — a vista of astounding beauty) - and I highly recommend these rooms - you will love being here no matter the room you are in. This is a special place. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not expound upon the hotel’s unmistakable focus on service.

We had the privilege of staying at Borgo Santadrea for our honeymoon, and what an amazing decision it was. It could not have been more special! It's not by chance that this is considered to be one of the "The World's 50 Best Hotels" despite the fact that it is still a quite new hotel (less than 5 years) It’s difficult to praise everything that was extraordinary here, but the best for us was unquestionably the staff. Everyone was so nice! From the beach club, the Spa, the PT, to the kitchen and restaurant staff, chef and lobby. It didn’t take long until we were feeling at home. From the breakfast welcome of Antonio and Fernando, until the whole team at Marinella, and specially the Manager & Owner Maurizio who was present throughout the whole stay and making sure everything was beyond well - you can definitely see the touch of Maurizio everywhere as the hotel is just extraordinary in every aspect. We also had the outstanding experience of having a cooking class with Chef Andrea at the Alici kitchen (1 Michelin Star), which we really recommend! You also won’t find a better beach setup at the Amalfi coast. The whole hotel is the definition of unpretentious luxury, and after some hours here you can’t help it but feel at home here. Nothing to say really!

Recently completely renovated, the building is immaculate, in a magnificent setting on the cliffs between Positano and Amalfi. The arrival into our room was just jaw-dropping with incredible views over the bay from our balcony, bedroom, sitting area and bathroom; I think is the same in all 45 rooms/suites. Staff in all areas - transportation, reception, concierge, restaurants (breakfast, beach club, fine dining), cleaning/servicing, were without exception welcoming, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, clearly taking their lead from the highly visible management. The property is included amongst the ‘50 best’ hotels in the world this year, and from my admittedly limited experience, I would say this is entirely justified. It is of course not inexpensive, but if you are in a position to afford it, the experience is well worth it.

Borgo Santandrea is an exceptional hotel and is outstanding in all areas. The staff are warm and hospitable and the personal touches throughout our stay made us feel very special. Both the fine dining and traditional restaurant experiences are outrageously good and the superb breakfast served with breathtaking views offers a wonderful surprise! We were so well looked after at the super chic beach club and every part of the hotel offers utterly phenomenal views. We enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of wine tasting with their wonderful sommelier and an amazing afternoon exploring the Amalfi coast on their boat Gozzo. The owner Maurizio was passionate and generous and there are many wonderful surprises to experience which i won’t spoil here. This is a truly remarkable hotel and was the highlight of our visit to the Amalfi Coast.

Wow! Borgo Santandrea is a property and experience that is hard to describe. Words fall short and won't adequately encapsulate the level of service, care, attention, and details that make this a one-of-a-kind luxury experience. We have traveled the world, and this tops the list of places we've stayed. The staff here puts on a masterclass in guest experience. We didn't lift a finger. The private beach offered poolside service and ample amenities (floaties, stand-up paddle boards, and a fabulous menu of drink and food offerings). Everywhere you turn, there is a surprise: lemonade, freshly baked cakes, and chocolates. And the breakfast...we're still dreaming about it. Everything you need to sink into relaxation and ease they've thought of. We traveled with our elderly parent, and she appreciated the boat and shuttle transfer to and from downtown Amalfi. From the Trimarco family, thank you for such a memorable stay. The hardest part was leaving, and we will certainly be back.

The breakfast is divine, its like going to a lavish pantry & kitchen. Everything we want are there. Their lemon & orange home made jam is to die for. Mr Orlachio, the owner & GM very hands on to make everything seamless & flawless. This is the key for exceptional experience. And we love ceramic tiles in our Suite. Modern & classic on the same time, we never saw design like this everywhere in the world.

Our dinner in the fine dinning restaurant was not to our liking. Its too avant garde. We prefer more traditional dishes with exceptional presentation & story.

The Borgo Santandrea is the best hotel that me and my wife ever stayed. Without a doubt, it is the best hotel on the Amalfi Coast. The facilities, architecture and rooms are really beautiful. The breakfast and restaurant exquisite. The warmth and the attention to details of the people who are part of the hotel team, are really exceptional. Concern for guests is always the priority. Finally, the beach club and complementary shuttle services from the hotel to Amalfi are really a plus. We would return without hesitation.

Oh , i don't know what to start from . First of all Hotel customer experience . Starting top 2 down . Ceo/Owner Maurizio welcoming every member at the door when u arriving. Than Atmosphere is starts : small tour over the hotel facilities , detailed explanation of what and where and how to use . especially pointing a free services like 80% of mini bar , free water taxi or private shuttle (until late night ) to nearest cities , free cookies and soft drinks all over the territories . Restaurant dinner reservation its like a small documental movie with special small surprises for every guest who left any piece of information about reason of the traveling . Private beach with all u need as towel and umbrellas and again free cold water bottles updated every 30 minute. Before than arrival i have send them info about celebration of our 15 years anniversary and Maurizio did crazy move - he upgrade us to Junior suite with private terrace (strongly suggested if u can afford ) , so our stay turned into dream holiday . But Maurizio is not the one and only who creating this magics . Tana - manager of facility , Chef - unfortunately i forgot his name , Our waitress - Aylin (beautiful service , smile , jokes ). Franchesko - beach service , Enzo - Boat driver - in a 10 minute ride i knew about Amalfi cost more than if i hire a guide with me .
