Immaculate and well maintained. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Attention to detail throughout the property is beautiful and very charming. Close to train station and markets.

I stayed one night - 21/01/2025 to 22/01/2025. It's a very beautiful building renovated recently. It's beauty & uniqueness is what attracted me to it. Nothing but praise for the young married couple who took on this project. Brilliant location less than 150 metres from railway station. Safety deposit box, which in my experience, has been a rarity in Thailand. Great air conditioning. The owners were very nice, friendly & courteous people who helped arrange a bus ticket to Ranong for me. I appreciated this greatly.

The room was smaller than I expected but, in fairness, the beautiful building isn't capable of big rooms. I discussed all the following problems with the owners before I left:- The owners knew I was arriving at 21:05 on the train but the hotel reception was closed. I had only 1% power on my mobile phone and thankfully just got through to him - he lives a very short distance away - but if my phone had stopped working I couldn't have phoned him. He should have been there to meet me or there should have been a sign on the door advising if Reception is unattended, please call the house a few doors down. This gave a VERY bad impression. The fridge wasn't working. The owner said it was but was set at too high a temperature. This should have been checked before I arrived. In the morning the water and beer I put in the fridge the night before were at the same temperature. There was a kettle and a coffee maker but no tea or sugar. The coffee maker was too complicated. I had to call the owner in the morning to show me how to work it. She made coffee for me but when I tried to make coffee after that I couldn't get it to work. Get rid of it. A kettle with coffee, tea and sugar sachets which is what I have gotten even in 4 star hotels, is more than adequate. The coffee cups were too small. Only one roll of toilet paper. If I had a bowel problem and therefore needed more, I would have had to ask for same This one should not have to do. It is also standard in hotels with double or twin bed to have at least 2 rolls. There was a stool in the room but no chair. I have a bad back and need support so a chair is essential. Stools are now very rare in hotels. Hotel makes an issue of environmental friendliness but the shampoo and shower gel were in small plastic disposable 'bottles'. So incongruous. There was a very small sensor operated rubbish bin in the room but the sensor didn't work. It is a daft idea anyway.
