Okay everything about this property is already told in the other positive reviews. Do stay, it is central, the rooms are nice, do pay the extra for the deluxe room - it is worth it. The staff here are wonderfully helpful and kind. I arrived earlier than check-in but with food poisoning from the aircraft breakfast…….i just knew it was going to be bad. I am so grateful that they took pity on me and gave me a room to ‘die in’. Later when I was over the worst we moved to the room, now ready, that we had booked. I honestly don’t know what I would have done had they not been so kind. What an amazing way to start our three month trip. Thank you so very much xx

Lower levels have road noise - but this is central Amritsar, it’s crazy and joyous. If it’s going to bother you book a deluxe room or bring earplugs There’s also a wonderful air conditioned restaurant about fifty steps away. On the left as you walk in to the centre

Excellent location so close to Jallianwallah Bagh , Golden Temple, plaza, markets, Partition Museum and transport. A guest house where staff go out of their way to assist and advise you. Their help cannot be understated. Rooms are accessed by stairs but staff are available to assist with luggage and stairs and stainless steel handrail offer safety. The Manager was so helpful, giving us tips for eating places, activities and arranging taxis. He ensured we had bottled water each day, and fresh bananas. We arrived 1 hour earlier than expected as our train was cancelled from Chandigarh and we had to take an Uber and was not sure how long it might take. The Manager was helpful from the moment we arrived at the door.

Booked two Deluxe king rooms for 1 person each, amenities, facilities and size were very different. The larger room had a functioning shower with hot water and hair dryer, 2 power outlets while the smaller room had only a trickle of water so it was not possible to shower there. There was one power outlet and no hairdryer. The listing said there were bathrobes and airconditioning, however there was no control for the aircon units in both rooms and weather was cold. We utilised the hotel taxi system which was more expensive than Uber but chose to do this to support small hotels, but in return like to have hotel owners ensure rooms we stay in are maintained and functioning. We paid 2,238 Rs per room per night, room only.

None. Rooms have to be accessed by a steep staircase- disabled unfriendly ; however considering that the hotel is right in the middle of the bazaar just a few hundred metres from Harmandir Sahib and Jallianwala bagh space constraints are perfectly understandable

Location is great (just around 200 m away from the Main Gate of the Golden Temple and lots of great roadside eateries and Marketing options). Staff are very nice and extremely helpful. The Manager, Mr. Axay was fantastic, informative and very helpful. I wish him well.

Approach road to the property is very narrow-not good for cars (however 100s of Autos and E-Rickshows are available all the time and they are very honest) and a bit dirty. The power switch to the AC and Geyser are at the reception counter and each time you need to request them to put the switch on once you enter your room from outside. The Room telephone was not working.

The location is nice. It hardly 100 meters walking distance to golden temple, 3km from Railway Station and 17 km from Airport. For doing market inside Amritsar, Guphawali Mandir, Durgayani Mandir, Bagha Border, Musiums available at Amritsar, moving to Dalhousie Kasmir, all you can get from this area. There have lots of tour travels are available in nearest Malhotra guests house. If you are a couple I preferred to book any travel car from Hotels officials only for your batter safety. Price is also very reasonable. Like , starting from 400/- to max 6500/-. Me and my wife completely impressed with the behaviour of hotel owner Mr. Akash Kumar. Very friendly guy and a good travel guide.

It is difficult to claim to 4th floor with bages as lift facilities are not available inside hotel.

The location is incredibly convenient and the room was so so comfortable. It's a very short walk to the Golden Temple. The staff are super helpful and had all the tips on how to make the most of my stay. Almost everyone coming into Amritsar is coming for the Golden Temple and the border ceremony - and they know that. So, when you come in they'll ask about your plans, and if you haven't made any they'll help make sure you're all set to make the most of your time in Amritsar. They got me setup with a shared tuktuk to the border for the ceremony which saved lots of money. They let me know what to expect in terms of timings, and what time to be at the golden temple in the morning. They truly could not have been more helpful - in fact - when it was time to head back to the airport to leave, there was a Tuktuk strike! The tuktuks has blocked all the roads in the city - and weren't driving. The staff navigated the city-wide chaos and brought me to the airport themselves! Absolutely incredible service, and I can't thank them enough!

Nothing, the stay was perfect!

Walking distance to golden temple so you can visit safely at night or early morning, I went around 3.15am. I did this as female solo traveller and felt safe. Akshay and staff very helpful and informed me of where to go, what to eat and what scams to avoid (there’s a lot in Amritsar). After busy day of travelling you can order food via guesthouse and get water easily. Also helped with my transport needs and arranged a taxi for me to go on to further travel in the north. can’t recommend enough.

None, Amritsar is very busy place and crowded but the location of this place is superb and off the Main Street.

Great location just next to the main street and a few minutes walk to the Golden Temple nd main sights. Lots of restaurants nearby. The owner was friendly and helpful. Decent size room. For the price we paid it was ok.

The shower pressure was terrible so we had to use the bucket and scoop. The dogs in the alley opposite barked on and off all night so kept us awake a lot. Cleanliness could have been a bit better in the bathroom.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with good bathrooms, water pressure and hot water. AC works great in the Amritsar heat. The wifi is fast and reliable, something not commonly found in India. It's easy walking distance to the Golden Temple and other major sites. Some of the surrounding streets have lots of shops, and restaurants and are traffic free. The best part is the management. They are exceptionally helpful, even straightening out a booking at another hotel. I highly recommend staying in this hotel.

We honestly were shocked at what a nice stay we were able to have in the middle of Amritsar for such a reasonable price. Clean, comfortable rooms with modern amenities. For any westerners traveling—excellent bathroom! Reliable wifi and air conditioning. If you’ve been to India, you know the power goes out. Any time that happened, they had a generator going almost immediately. Location-wise, you’re about a short, safe 2 min walk from the Golden Temple. One turn and straight down the main promenade. This is great because the Golden Temple is best viewed at night. Street food immediately outside the door. Staff really made the stay for us. The gentleman working the desk was really helpful working with us to change dates when part of our travel plans fell through, and he was a godsend when it came to booking tuktuks. He saved us haggling for rides to the Wagah Border ceremony and the airport, and got a way better price than had I tried. I only wish I had the foresight to message in advance to have him get us a tuktuk from the railway station when we arrived. Special thanks to the man working there who noticed me come in without my ball cap on and chased down my tuktuk to grab it without even asking.

No negative. Just be aware that I didn’t notice an elevator/lift, so if you have mobility issues make sure to message in advance to make sure you can get a room on a lower floor.
