Friendly staff

The water from bathroom faucet had a weird smell and taste. Issues running my card despite calling credit card company and my card was ok and the issue for them was expiration date manually entered incorrectly by hotel. When I reserved room on booking.com it was $20 cheaper than the one night I booked in person at the hotel. Booked night for a week as my mom’s hospital stay was day to day. Treadmill was broken. So had to pay for weekly membership at local gym. Otherwise stay was good. Staff was nice and accommodating.

Most of the staff were very friendly. There was a pretty good choice for breakfast. The location was perfect and right in the middle of our adventures. No bed bugs or roaches. Nice and cool room. Quiet and restful. Decent sized pool. Clean and white linen. Options if you wanted to purchase a snack or TV dinner. Clean lobby. Pool was not freezing. Hot tub was relaxing. Beds were comfy and plenty of room for 2 people. Overall 4.5 star!

Lots of earwigs in the pool area and some in the hallways but understandable for Wisconsin and humidity. Hallways were warm and not cool. Room was a little smaller than I was expecting, along with the bathroom. Sometimes the biscuits were hard and the waffle mix wouldn't come out.

The room was nice, bed comfortable, bathroom was clean, but the best was the pool. The temperature was perfect! I haven't been in a hotel with such a clean and comfortable pool and jacuzzi! The breakfast was good (eggs, sausages, muffins, bananas, yogurt, juice, cereal, waffles, etc.) Everything was great. And the location to The House in the Rock, Taliesin and Mineral Point, just right.

A little more variety in the breakfast would be amazing. But it was very good anyways.

Kim was there to check us in and she was like meeting a new friend. The area was going through a tornado warning and of course she was concerned about her home. She was there again in the morning and was doing everything to ensure everyone was having the best experience possible. She was such a delight, she alone deserves 5 stars. We would return just because of her.

Location and cleanliness

The light by the sink wasn’t bright enough. There were no plastic glasses to drink water. I checked in online to make quick work of getting our room, but it still took over five minutes. I questioned the man at the front desk about our rewards but got no response from him. Upon checking out, though, the woman was very helpful.

It was very good. The whole staff was amazing! Kim at the front desk was especially great. She was very informative about local restaurants and attractions. The housekeeping staff was awesome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The only minor complaint we had was there was no hair dryer in the room.

This is clean, reasonably priced, no frills hotel that is well run. Rates are much more reasonable than in neighboring Madison, Wisconsin. The facility seems relatively new and is in good condition, unlike other offerings in the area, which tend to be worn and dated.

Poor lighting in the hallways gives them a decidedly dingy appearance, but the rooms are clean and more cheerful.

The breakfast was very good and our room was clean. The pool and hot tub were nice also. While he room was clean and looked like it had been remodeled, the bed was too firm. The tub in our bathroom needed refinishing, and the door handle in the bathroom kept pulling off. We asked to have it fixed, but it wasn't taken care of during our stay. Overall, it was a good place to stay for two nights.

Myself and my 2 granddaughters were in the area for House on the Rock. This hotel was the perfect price and location for us. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub were great for relaxing after the long drive. Breakfast was great too.

The only thing I didn't care for was the bed was uncomfortable for me, the girls are way younger and didn't have that problem.

The heated pool and hot tub and relaxing lobby!! Excellent check in and even had a wine opener very nice new hotel we willbe back!

The plug in air freshener in our oet room, not necessary and could harm pets thats what the back of those usually say! Also on person at front desk was a tad rude all the others very kindnand friendly. Besides that excellent stay and excellent value! Thank you!
