This review is for Yongpyeong Resort - Dragon Valley Hotel. Good hotel reception gave us the most pleasant experience. Our booking was at the end of February this year. For that booking, we had the apartment, but we arrived hotel by transport. The initial arrangement, the front desk reception, (nice gentleman which looks similar to "Yan can cook" celebrity chef looks like) the gentlemen - unfortunately we can't remember his name as we don't speak good Korean. This nice and kind gentlemen have helped guide us to the apartment under the same umbrella. He also offered to upgrade us to a hotel as we had kids around, but we politely declined the offer as we booked the apartment. We had arrived at the apartment to check in but it was very unsafe to get to the apartment due to we need to push the stroller along the road, but overall the apartment it was a very nice accommodation either. We decided to go back to the hotel front desk to look for help. Once again it is that nice gentlemen who saw that we were push a stroller with a 2 years old girlgudp. He persisted in arranging a room for us, even though it was the extreme peak of the March bank holiday in South Korea – everyone was there for skiing. We were very grateful to him for his kind and welcoming personality who helped us find the room and change our booking from apartment to hotel. The hotel room is more expensive than the apartment and he tries allocate us a room that does not incurring too much cost to us. We manage to have the change of booking from the apartment to the hotel room and we have an extremely pleasant stay in the hotel. Also kudos to the night front desk lady who is so fluent in English, with her help, we were able to find our way to the alpaca farm with ease. Overall, the stay at this hotel is extremely nice and we enjoyed the skiing experience. The whole trip to Yongpeong is wonderful and we will be glad to be back again. our sincere appreciate for the kind front desk staffs.

The location is great right at the bottom of the ski slope. I didn’t realise until it was too late that you can actually Ski-in and Ski out when there is enough snow. The apartment was comfortable, when I was called, I called them and they turned up the heating straightaway. Functioning kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and kettle and utensils which was very helpful.

This apartment was quite expensive compared to some of the others that were very similar in nature. It was also not clear which apartment building it was in, so me and my friend ended up in totally different buildings about a 10 minute walk outside in the snow from each other. It should be clearer on this site, which hotel is which. There was also a bit of a funny smell in my apartment all week. I think it was coming from the drain.

Position is obviously great to hit the slopes. Kitchenette is useful to fix breakfast and a quick meal. New code system for doors instead of keys. Mobile check in/out very convenient.

The rooms need some refurbishment, and bedding was quite bad (e.g. found ripped pillow covers). Yes, on the plus side they give extra pillows... unfortunately they are all same, very stiff. But the worst thing is: an absolute DISGRACE to have the room heating pre-set at 27 C. We kept lowering it but every time we left the room it was back to sauna levels. Awful, and even more so when thinking about the waste of energy and environment.

Different holiday experience. If you want to live like a Korean family go for this. I travelled with a family of 5 with 4 teenagers. We cooked 1 meal a day because the supermarket is just stone's throw away. Super clean Provided cooking utensils and the space is just huge.

The fact that there are so many condos and hotels, booking.com was not clear as in where to check-in We were stopped at a different condo tower only to find out that ours is the other condo. Please help in specifying exact condo or location. We had to push all our luggages in the winter night outdoors to get to our apartment.

Great resort for skiing and snowboarding. Reasonable price for the rental and lift passes. Lots of facilities, restaurants, and entertainment available.

The futons were beyond uncomfortable. Barely any thickness. Asked for extra to stack them, but I was only offered 1 extra set between 3 guests.

Good ski slopes and very little waiting time - good snow and convenient access from Seoul

It is a bit dated and lacks some more diverse food options (not many good Korean options and little by way of decent supermarket (with fruits etc) - Same with shops etc

I like the location. Easy for my family to go to do ski's activities. Got halal restaurant. Very yummy kebab. The staff is excellent. They keep our luggage after check out while we're waiting for our transport at 1pm.

My room is korea kondo style. It is very hard to sleep.

Prime location right by the ski resort. Ondol room was comfortable and pretty clean. Plenty of places to eat within the resort.

Outside of buildings is very dated.

No shower curtains. No shower door. The water has spilt out over the years. The wood in the bathroom is swollen, damages and moldy. Rooms were dusty.
