Liked the location, the entrance is very bright and welcoming. The room was beautiful and spacious. Loved having a balcony to sit on with a drink in hand and just relax and enjoy the pool and beach view. Has a swim up bar with great drinks and a food truck you could order from. Staff was friendly. Stayed in at the hotel restaurant for dinner, drinks, and live music. And has beach access with outside restroom and shower. Overall great getaway.

The parking was a bit inconvenient. Parking lot shared by 2 hotels/condos. A bit if a walk.

We booked a condo- for 3 days and 4 nights. Was told there is no cleaning service for that amount of stay. BUT we went through a lot of towels- and all of the coffee. I asked for the towels to be picked up- and they never were, and I asked for new towels which were delivered several hours after pool day. The battery of the door handle also died- locking us out of the room for 45 min which was super annoying. Sitting on the floor and waiting outside the room.

The new remodel was a nice touch, I felt like I was transported to Hawaii! The room was really clean, the employees were nice and I love the bar in the pool!

We had no chairs on our balcony, even when we requested some from a guy at the front desk our first day there. Would’ve been nice to sit outside and enjoy the free coffee in the room. Kids were splashing in the pool at bar area and getting water in our drinks, they should not be allowed near/in pool bar area since the pool is spacious in other areas and they aren’t 21+. other than that it was amazing!

Our family of five spent four amazing days at Margaritaville Resort in South Padre Island, and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool and beach activities kept the kids entertained the entire time. We can’t wait to come back for another fun and relaxing vacation.

The kitchen cabinets were pretty beat up, the dishwasher was rusted on the inside, and we had to go on a bit of a scavenger hunt for basics like coffee, dish soap, paper towels, and dishwasher pods. There was also no salt or pepper, which wouldn’t have mattered except that the resort said those items would be provided. It didn’t take away from the trip overall, but worth noting for future guests.

First, I was very happy to see the resort commit to going green and being environmental. The wrist bands we received at check in served as room keys and we could use them to charge items from shops to restaurants, and even pool towels, which you have to access with the wrist band. We returned them at checkout to be recycled. I really love the hand soap and lotion, which are mounted in dispensers by the sink. The handles on the sink faucet were cute! Whale tail handles! The shampoo and conditioner were really nice, and seemed high quality. I enjoyed the nautical accents in the room, with white and blue accents. There were several Margaritaville themed pillows for the chair and bed. Two spa robes came in handy! The little balcony had two Adirondack style chairs and a small table, although it was very warm and no breeze there. The outdoors were beautiful, with a huge pool that was sparkling clean. The landscaping was nice and had many tropical plants and Palm trees. There were many chairs and tables available and we enjoyed a margarita at the outdoor bar. At night we sat outside on the patio where they had live music. The private beach access is easy to use and not far to get to the sand. It was not the biggest resort we've been to, but it was much easier to get around. They had 3 elevators, so you don't have to wait too long to go up or down, even at peak times. There is a parking charge per night, but you can self park if you don't want the valet parking. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker, ceramic cups, and drinking glasses (not paper or Styrofoam). Oh, and there is a good sized safe in the closet. We enjoyed our time there and would definitely go back again!

We splurged a little and got a jr suite. It was spacious and attractive. The bed was comfortable. We were asked to keep the air conditioner at 69-72 which was awesome in comparison to hotels that automatically turn off the air when you leave the room. And it also meant no musty beach hotel smell! The lobby is decorated in Margaritaville style and I love the Buffett music playing everywhere. The pool is gorgeous. The elevators are fast. The staff is friendly and competent. Loved the convenience of the wristband keycard even if it was annoying to wear 24/7.

Restaurant service wasn’t up to par, but that seems to be typical for Margaritaville restaurants in my experience. I hate paying for parking.

So me and my Girlfriend were walking to the gym just to see what it looked like. My Girlfriend stepped inside and waited by the door while I went to look around and the security guard banged on the window telling us to leave because she had open toe shoes but was literally by the door and not near any of the equipment. Well he runs in side and was rude and loud with us about not being in the gym with open toe which is understandable but he kept repeating him self and getting louder as we apologized and walked out. Was very rude and uncalled for. That was the security on night shift on 22nd of march.

I liked the beach access and that i could tent beach chairs/umbrella. The staff was very nice and the coffee shop had great drinks and was fast.

The food was The food at both the restaurant and out at the bar was the only thing I did not like. We ordered nachos from the bar and although nachos are supposed to a bit of a mess, these were more on the cold side, the chips were already a bit soggy, to the point it was hard to pick them up and very little meat. We chose to eat at Landshark the last evening of our trip. It was understaffed. One poor lady seemed to be taking care of everyone. My sister ordered the coconut shrimp and became ill and was then sick the last night we stayed at the hotel.

I loved the atmosphere. The resort is beautiful, and the housekeeping staff was amazing. They went above and beyond. I loved the easy access to the beach.

Maybe offer a free breakfast for hotel guests that don't have a condo. Maybe make the beds a little more comfortable.
