Incredible location, stunning views of the bay, close to Yo-yo’s and other surf spots which can be reached by scooter. Breakfast included was delicious and the food served in the restaurant was outstanding…. All freshly cooked and clearly made with love. All the staff are friendly and helpful. They look after some cute dogs too which I love.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like, if I had to say anything it would be that the toilet in our room didn’t look clean, it was cleaned everyday we bought bleach and toilet brush to try and clean the stains but it wouldn’t come off. A swimming pool would be a fantastic addition but not a deal breaker.

Location is perfect. Right on the water so you get a breeze once it comes up and the surf is no longer good. Great spot to sit for some sunset beers (I did every evening). The room has a fridge and a big 20L bottle of water in it which is great for surfers. There is a top sheet and not just a blanket (honestly who needs a blanket in Indonesia). There was also a ceiling fan and AC, I love this cause you can cool the room with AC and sleep with the fan. The food at the restaurant is so damn tasty, its hard to be bothered to leave and explore other local options and the staff are amazing. I read some negative reviews about street noise before I went so I was a bit skeptical cause I am really bothered by noise, but I was out like a light every night and didn't notice anything to be bothered by.

The location of this place was amazing. The staff super friendly and the sunsets incredible. I hired a surfboard from them but managed to break it when I got dumped. They were very fair with it all and were concerned if I was okay. The dogs here are so charming. Lots of other tourists and some FIFO workers here. A very nice place to relax and unwind for a few days. Was great to have heaps of water in the rooms. And could swim right out the front of the resort. Would check out Lisa’s Garden if looking to get out for a meal.

Beautiful views and amazing staff. Cute dogs too! We stayed for two weeks and recommend booking the deluxe sea room view if available!

The only thing it's lacking is more soft furnishings/comfortable hang out area to really make the most of that view

Balong Balong is in the perfect location right on the ocean. You can watch Yoyos from the garden. There were plenty of hammocks, small tables and chairs and bean bags available to use to sit under the coconut trees and enjoy the view and the breeze. The food and choice in the restaurant was so good. The included breakfast had lots of choice and every one of them loaded with flavour. We enjoyed all the meals we had while there. All were fresh and tasty and had a modern twist. The staff were all so friendly and having stayed in another resort close by it was a very welcome change to see the staff were happy to have us there.

We Absolutely loved our stay here. Food is good, accommodation is good, staff is very lovely and helpful. It's a beautiful place to be, clean beach out front. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here if you going to West Sumbawa. When we are coming back this is the place to go. To the balong balong staff - keep up your good work you guys are absolutely the best. Big shout out to Eldi, he's the man.

We originally booked 1 week just in case we wanted to move somewhere else for the other 2 weeks, but after the first day we realised that we were at the right spot and booked the other 2 weeks. Location excellent, staff friendly and helpful, cute dogs 🐶 ❤️, food is delicious, fantastic views and the most spectacular sunset spot for sundowners … we loved it and will be back again next year … thank you Balong Balong 🙏

Absolutely stunning location by the beach! It's so special to watch the sunset here every evening. During the day, you could relax in the hammocks under the trees. The rooms were excellent, with efficient air conditioning and a comfortable bed! What was really great was that they cleaned your room every day! Also, it was nice to have a restaurant at the hotel, serving delicious modern Indonesian cuisine! I would 100% come back here again if I visit this location.

Everything was really great! I just didn't find the inclusive breakfast menu to be super satisfying. The portions weren't very large, and considering many surfers visit this place, who always have a big appetite after an early morning session, I think the portions could be bigger. Personally, I would recommend staying at the accommodation without breakfast and then paying for breakfast at the hotel each day. Their menu was more extensive and almost the same price.

The food we had at this place was amazing, such great value for money, they had such a wide range on the menu and it was all fab!! The staff were also amazing and helpful. The location was great for surfers as well, so many spots near by and stunning views from the property.

The only thing we thought could be improved upon was the amount of time it took for the food to come out. But it was always made up for with how amazing the food was.

This might be the hotel with the best price for location. We were able to get vegan nasi goreng and smoothies and the sunsets was amazing too. Great place to stay!

In front of the hotel and in a trench next to the hotel there was a looot of garbage. There should really be an initiative to clean up some of the trash on the beach. We used a couple of evenings to pick garbage, but there was simply too much...
