The view was excellent, bed was a little noisy but big and very comfortable! The pools were clean and very nice, warm and with lots of places to sit, not just swim. The slide will work if you ask them to turn the water on, but it’s only appropriate for children since there’s not enough water in it to support an adult. The staff were all very helpful and polite. The boat drop off right on the beach and return to Sanur leaving from the same spot was very convenient. Also breakfast was good value, with western and Balinese options.

During the day there was a lot of noise from electric saws and sanders, either from right next door or the property itself, I’m not sure which, but it put a damper on the paradise feel of the place. There is a television in the room but it doesn’t have any channels. There was essentially no WiFi in the room and very poor WiFi in other areas in the resort. There is five minutes drive to the next main road and it is one of the rockiest “roads” I’ve ever driven on. Balcony doors don’t close all the way, so you’re best to just use Aircon at night, the room will not get cool during the day, even though they were nice enough to turn it on before we arrived.

Catch the boat to mushroom Bay and you arrive in front of this resort. The bungalows are decent size, comfortable beds,good showers. Two swimming pools. Can hire scooters and return boat tickets from reception,

Make sure you chose the ferry that drops in Mushroom Bay as if you get the other drop off point, you’ll then need tk organise transport. Wear thongs as there is no jetty at the drop off. You get off in the water but staff will carry your case. The hotel is right down at the beach which is a bonus as others are a bit of a trek on dodgy paths or up steps. We stayed in a family villa. It was beautiful but old. The bathroom door didnt line up with the frame so had to give it a good yank to open/close. There was a fridge but it didnt work. The hot water was non existent in either of our rooms.

Adde and Putu were exceptional hosts and took such great care of us. Adde took us on a tour of the island providing great local knowledge and insights on local businesses and innovations. Highly recommend Tanis Beach Resort.

Location was great. Great views of the sea and volcano. Two small pools was great for when there was too much noise in one you could go to the other. Mushroom bay was beautiful, although food options were limited for my low budget.

Nothing really stood out for what I didn’t like but I feel it wasn’t worth what I spent for accomodation. Although my son did cut his foot pretty badly on the slide going down it. I didn’t like that. I didn’t tell the hotel staff which now I think of it I should have.

This is the main "big" hotel that seems to anchor Mushroom Bay Beach. It is set just a bit back from the beach where the Tanis Fast Boat ferry stops at. There are two pleasant swimming pools (with water slide) and relaxing gardens. The had everything needed and the balcony had a great seaview.

The only downside is that a place like Mushroom Bay Beach is a great opportunity to stay in a smaller cottage right on the water, rather than a big (relatively speaking) hotel set back from the beach. However, that depends what you're in the mood for.

Location was superb, right on the beach where you can snorkal, lots of great places to eat around too. Sofia was great at helping us organise boat tickets which drops you off right on the beach where the resort is. The rooms are big and the family room was actually 2 rooms with an interconnecting door which was fabulous. The waterslide was a natural hit for the kids too

The 2nd rooms mosquito net had quite a few holes in it. The restaurants toilets are disgusting and really need an upgrade

Amazing location, great value for money, staff are so helpful and friendly, delicious breakfast with plenty of options. The staff are so accommodating, when we were feeling unwell they brought breakfast to our room and made us any lunch we wanted off the menu. We could organise a snorkelling tour easily with the hotel. It was affordable and an amazing experience. The hotel grounds and pools are beautiful and well maintained. Our room was simple but comfortable. The only issue was that the aircon didn’t work as well as others. Overall we had a great stay!
