Comfortable beds, very clean, free wifi worked well and tea/coffee/milk and dishes/utensils were provided. My cousin and I initially reserved a 1 bed room to save money but upon arrival got offered an upgrade to a room with 2 beds for free. Staff were friendly and it was easy to find information.
A little out of town and can be easy to miss as signage is set back from the road and the speed limit is 90 which doesn't allow for keeping a close eye out. Google maps location is accurate though and they do have flashing lights at the driveway for after dark.

Cleanliness and the excellent efforts of the owners to keep an older motel up to current expectations of travellers with little things such as USB outlets and updated bathrooms. Kitchen available in the block of rooms. Each room has utensils and plates in a tub for easy use and taking to the kitchen to wash.
Some noise from Murray Valley Highway as rooms face the road with gravel car park as only barrier. Suggest a sign in the room or on the crockery tub advising where to wash the dishes. (I found the kitchen as it was only 2 doors from our room :) )

Old skool but comfy and clean. Staff had turned in the heating and put out an assistance step for our arrival. So appreciated
So maybe just his personality as he was pleasant the next morning on our departure, but when we arrived tired at 6pm ish- old mate gave me a bit of a terse reprimand for not reading my email about him leaving the key in the door as to not disturb him with our arrival- I would assume. We had just driven 8.5hrs from outback NSW with very limited phone connection/service most of the way. No I hadn’t been checking my emails.

(Unit 1) It's an old motel, being refurbished, but has everything you could want - frig, microwave, good lighting, great hot shower, morning sun, wifi, spacious bathroom, electric blanket, table + chairs, couch. I was very comfy.
The toxic cleaning product smell, with windows that are painted shut. Truck and train noise a bit over the top too early in the morning.

Spacious room, clean and comfortable, ideal for an overnight transit stay
cups, utensils, etc were in a plastic box on a high shelf which was awkward to get down. Slightly inconvenient that microwave was in a shared kitchen a few doors away from the room. The location of the property was convenient although noise from the road was loud at times.

This old school motel is a little gem, especially if you are a fan of 1960s motel nostalgia. Lots of eye candy for lovers of the retro look. On the practical side, the motel has everything you would need for a very comfortable stay. Rooms are very clean and include a microwave. There is also a communal kitchen if you wish to save money and cook your own meals. The pool looked so inviting . . . I shall definitely use it when the weather warms up a little more. The owner is on hand and very helpful should you need assistance with anything.
Nothing, really.

Perfect location passing through town. Comfy beds. Comfy facility. Definitely worth staying. Would stay again.
The older guy is rather grumpy on the phone. We were going to be there after hours. I called to discuss it. This seemed to irritate him. Part and parcel of dealing with the public. We ask questions even if they are obvious to you. . Be nice or don't run a hotel. The younger guy was lovely to deal with though. The place was perfect otherwise

It was neat & clean, the shower had plenty of space, water pressure good, bed was comfortable & so were the chairs. Overall the room had everything we needed, it was just a little old in style which kind of added to it's charm.
There was a lot of traffic noise, which we are not used to, the room was on the small side & even though it had air conditioning we would of liked to have the door open for fresh air - perhaps fly screen door would be nice. Neither of us liked the pillows for some reason

You must bare in mind when booking this motel that it is a very old motel, but you would find it hard to locate one that is cleaner than this. We didn't expect that, at this price point, our room would be serviced daily. Lovely surprise to pop back to our room and find the bed had been made and the towels changed. Lovely staff and eventhough, I didn't meet the owner, my husband said that he too was very nice. Located on the outskirts of town. First place as we came in.
The lights are not turned down at night, so a little too bright for me. Also the mattress was a bit too hard, but I have slept on mattresses in other motels/hotels where I could have slept on the floor and been more comfortable. But, both of these are my issues.

It had everything we needed, except for maybe couple sets of draws to put clothes in. The kitchen area had everything we wanted as did the bathroom. It’s an older motel which obviously needs updating but it had that clean smell when you walked in and owner and staff were very accommodating.
It was a bit noisy from road and train line but otherwise no other problems.
