An amazing building staffed by amazing people. The food was top notch, matching the service. The staff was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the building and I even got a personal tour by the fantastic Michael, due to me having the luck of arriving on a slow evening. The chef had a night of due to this, but Michael made me a fabulous Toast Skagen and the best Västerbotten pie that I have lever tasted. Come to think of it, the Toast Skagen was propbably the best I ever had as well. It was served with some fantastic ölkorv (small smoked sausages). The building itself is truly amazing, I think you could walk here for days and still find new amazing details of loving craftsmanship. It is truly astonishing and a thing of beauty to behold. Henceforth, whenever I visit either Huskvarna or Jönköping, I will choosr Hotell Slottsvillan whenever possible. The 10 minute drive to central Jönköping is well worth it due to the astonishing experience of feeling as the King of the Castle for a few days. 12 out 10 stars!

Cozy, beautiful little castle on a hill. Lovely interior and friendly staff, would recommend.

Since we were travelling with a baby and chose the hotel by parking, it would have been great to get a spot by the castle, but there was no space. We had to park the car on the parking below and carry our stuff up. Not a huge issue, but with a baby comes quite a lot of stuff.

A beautiful place with fascinating interior. The staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Close to nature and restaurants of Huskvarna. Plenty of parking space. Good breakfast.

The room was not soundproof so you can hear everything from the corridor. But it’s a small hotel with only a few rooms, so it didn’t bother us much. Everything else was great.

We had only a short one-night stay, but the place exceeded our expectations. The hotel was a really cozy and beautiful place with a great history. The owners were super nice and service-minded, and we felt very welcome instantly. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was also really good - dark bread and local cheeses were super. There was also some nice walking paths right next to the hotel which was a great plus.

There was really nothing to dislike.

The building and hotel are a credit to the new owners. Beautiful rooms, comfy beds, nice touch with the sofas and bathrooms are unreal. Enjoyed breakfast ,very nice, good quality produce. My husband loved the music room with all the old vinyl, a hit with him

Nothing to add, only a kettle as opposed to coffee machine would be great for those that love a cup of tea, but I suppose people would say that’s nit picking

The standout feature of this hotel for me was the look and style. It really is a castle with many crooked corners and appropriate furniture. There are many - public - rooms to explore, with a pool table, books, etc in case you catch a rainy day during your stay.

The hotel rooms are rather small. This cannot be changed and is simply due to the style of the building. However, if you're stuck in your own room, things can get a bit cramped.

This hotel is charming. We really enjoyed our one night stay on a bicycle tour around Lake Vattern. We could stow away our bicycles in the garage. We had a wonderful dinner et great breakfast. The house is very well decorated and there are lots of lounge areas were you can chill, the staff will bring you drinks in your favorite nook in the house.

You have to ask for water during breakfast none is available among the rich choice of juices etc, please fix that little piece of shame)

The hotel is very attractive, close to Husqvarna edge, towards forest. The interior is very attractive, with a beautiful lounge area. We enjoyed a drink and music in the nice shared area rooms in the evening. The light at sunset is impressive. The rooms look great - please be aware that small double room has private bathroom outside the actual room. Breakfast was good served in a nice dining area. The personnel is nice. Price of drinks is ok.

Initial price put on POS did not correspond to what was expected then corrected. The room was not aired well enough. The price for child is too high, even if child does not use extra bed and there is mainly breakfast. The bath is under the room level of design and comfort - there is vintage approach for it as well, but there was a leak from the bath tub which needs to be fixed. Bed mattress too soft.

Such a unique and very lovely hotel! Would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Jönsköping region. Every room and corner of this house is decorated just so lovely and you almost expect for Miss Marple to come around the corner to solve a crime! Will definitely come back when in the area again :)
